After giving a rundown on how badly all the preseason Heisman favorites have done, they say:
"It's an absolutely bizarre turn of events that so many players expected to be superstars have been bruised, battered and benched. It's rare that anything outside of Auburn gets so much advanced hype and delivers so little. The 2021 season is truly a strange time."

Well, he isn't wrong. Auburn has a history of not living up to expectations and then exceeding them when they are low. Not sure I'd classify that as a roast.

Sounds more like the media sucks at predicting things

This is true. Hell, no one expected anything from Auburn this season with a radically new coaching staff and approach but y'all are in serious contention for the SEC West title.

Didn’t click the bait. First year head coach. Not surprised a gump is posting about Auburn, bammers.

Swap Georgia for Auburn and they’d be correct.

Another great ESPN writer who writes only what he hears someone else say. Remember the theme on here is Auburn is only good when they are predicted to be bad. I am sure this guy will write something about that. Now who is this guy?

Auburn can still win the West.

ESPN commenting on over hyping things is the height of the ridiculous.
