I remember when Casey Thompson ran through all of Fayetteville to score a touchdown.

Saban is almost maniacal about not running up the score. From 2018-2020, with Tua and Mac and those absurd WRs. we had 40+ at the half seemingly every other game. He can shut it down and shorten a game with the best of em. It really annoyed me in 2012 when we were up 49-0 really early in the 3rd against the Barn and he shut it down. Could have gotten well over 70.

I got a theory for why Saban was throwing TDs with 3 minutes left in the game vs Southern Miss. He saw Sark score 70 while playing his 3rd string QB and 5th string RB and wanted to try to match him. He couldn't.

If you hadn't lost your azz against the hogs, Sark wouldn't have felt the need to run the score up against another hapless defense in the big 12 in TexasTech.
