It’s kind of crazy how many billionaires are in small population Arkansas.

Probably spends more time here in Mississippi (hunting season) then Georgia. He could/should be classified as a Mississippian

Why is Alice Walton listed as a Texas billionaire? She literally lives like 15 minutes from me in Bentonville

Just googled it. I guess she lives in Fort Worth now? Or does she just own a house there? I’m confused

The thing with really rich people is that they have multiple homes. Yes, Alice is in NWA a lot of the time.

Looking at the number of billionaires by SEC state (as of 9/15/2020 per Forbes Magazine via Wikipedia):

Alabama - 0 (not sure why Stephens isn't on the list)
Arkansas - 5
Florida - 58
Georgia - 12
Kentucky - 3
Louisiana - 1
Mississippi - 2
Missouri - 6
Oklahoma - 6
South Carolina - 1
Tennessee - 8
Texas - 60

The Texas one listed is from Arkansas, lives mainly in Arkansas now as well. Still has residence in Fort Worth. She is actually worth north of $64bil now though.

Exactly. We own the Cowboys too.

I know for a fact there are more than a couple of billionaires in Alabama. I know one of them personally and I've seen his financial statement from working with his Foundation Trustee account. He lives near Fairhope most of the year. Also, Tim Cook (Apple CEO) has a house on Ono Island like Dolly Parton, Britney Spears and Jimmy Buffet. It probably isn't listed under his name, but he is there quite a bit and some people who live there know. They are probably listed under other states. I don't know if they are billionaires, but Tim Cook is.
