Who weren't alive the last time their state school beat Alabama in football. They can only watch their favorite team's previous victory over the Tide on my YouTube page:

When I was a kid in the late 90s-early 00s I honestly thought Alabama was more or less on Arkansas’s tier. I couldn’t comprehend why a successful coach like Saban wanted to go to an average program like Alabama. I feel bad that kids now don’t know that version of Alabama.

The only way for that version to come back is for Alabama to go back on deep sanctions.

Not going to happen

Your slumping baseball team has been giving #9 Tennessee all they can handle, and you choose to start a topic about a sport that doesn't start for another five months.

Funny you should mention this. Because in 08 when Bama became a contender again, we had to let the young fans know to get used to it. That this is the way it is suppossed to be.

I don't get the same satisfaction about Arkansas. That's been a honest, hard knuckled battle in the past (before we went on this run). The match-up was early, and the winner usually went on to a great season.

Contrast that to Tennessee. They low down. They dirty. It's not that orange you can sit with.

I think we're going to hang 20 in a row on them.

I'm sure its a joyous thing for you folks, but I dont even bother watching our game against yall anymore. The fun has been sucked out of it.

I honestly had no idea Alabama was playing a baseball game today.

Well over 80 percent of tv revenue is football and you guys sure do have a nice stadium, and state of the art athletic facilities, and many good athletic programs which are essentially funded by your football team. You should watch them. Anyway, ya'll have been close a couple of years to beating us. It will happen one day, it is inevitable. And when it does, you'll know you accomplished something special in football.

Alabama under Nick Saban has been a singular anomaly in whatever could be remotely considered modern football. It's not even embarrassing at this point. LSU has consistently been the #2 football team in the SEC during the Saban tenure, and they've won, what, one in the past ten? Bama has earned the right to shite talk, but the words have less bite than literally any of the other 12 SEC teams who could heckle us.

Winning in football is more satisfying than any of the other sports, but it's a mercilessly short season. Bama fans have recently understood what it's like to be alive deep in the basketball post-season, and to be able to look down on the other teams. Their baseball team is struggling, but they're competent and they have potential. I don't know why this person chose to start a topic shite talking in the offseason of a sport that stings the least when we lose.

Wtf would you feel bad? It's upsetting more than it is sad. Youve got an entire generation of "fans" that don't even remember the ecstasy of winning 10 games with shula, and probably have no idea whatsoever about the magic of the 99 season. Forget about the somewhat crappiness overall from 00-07. It's going to be very jarring for a lot of young people when saban leaves and bama goes back to "only" winning 10 games a year and not making the playoffs every year. Heaven help them next time they go 9-4.

You're 1–1 with Tennessee for this series, and you've got a lead in the sixth inning of the rubber game. You lost the series to #2 Arkansas earlier in the year, but you took a game to the tune of 16–1. That actually upset me more than your football win, because what's the point of even getting angry in the football series anymore.

Edit: Actually, I'm wrong about that. You're 1–0 with a chance to sweep the series. Even better. I could have sworn I remembered you losing, but I must have been thinking of someone else.

They'll just have to toughen up and learn to cheat better like we did.
