Our line is butt. Franks holds the ball too long and makes some forehead-slapping decisions in the pocket.
That said, he's also a—if not the—key reason we're 3-5 at the moment (should be 4-4) and not 0-8.
Our line has to step up. They've had their shite pushed in the last few games. As Larry Johnson said, we need to go get us some mens.

I think Sam was thinking the percentages because the the offense was playing poorly and the chances of making the first down was low. So going with the field goal was the most logical decision. He had no confidence in the offense.
I don't have any problems with Franks because he is a solid quarterback. He just doesn't have many tools to work with in this offense.

The offensive line problems will get better but it is going to take a couple of years.
This offense is going to be good in I say in the 22 season.

Agreed. He's not the QB to run Briles' system but he's the QB we have and without him this season would have been very ugly.
It comes down to line play, on both sides of the ball, and frankly its not going to get any better this year. We are going to have to recruit and develop our way out of this hole.
We are a couple of blown calls away from potentially being 5-3 this year, which is astounding.
