Watched an interview with him this morning. I was really impressed. You got a good guy SC baws.

The final 4 run was the greatest moment in SC sports for me, too bad he can't get us back in the tournament

Basically this. One of my favorite parts about the Final 4 - besides obviously just getting there - was that it gave Martin an opportunity to make the rounds with some larger media folks like Dan Patrick.
I loved hearing him talk. Great guy, you know that man knows the fundamentals of the sport as much as anyone on the planet, but can't really recruit nor can he sustain and level of success.
We continuously under perform in OOC and whenever we do grab a notable win we immediately frick it up. Like a slightly better version of Muschamp.

He's actually calmed down a bit since his kstate days

He's the kind of coach I always thrived under. Not for everyone, for sure. But you case tell he cares about his kids.

My HS coach was very similar, best coach I’ve ever had. But a lot of players ran from him. Not for everyone
