With the possibility of Brees retiring, I’m surprised I havent heard the Saints as a possible landing spot for Dalton.

Not saying I would or wouldnt want that to happen, but I think we could definitely do a lot worse than signing dalton to a 2-3 year contract.

I dont think he’s a FA though so we’d have to give up something for him which I wouldnt be a fan of. Unless it was a fourth or fifth rd pick

Who is better to you, Dalton or Tannehill?

Hell, I'd rather have Drew Lock from Denver

Dalton became the scapegoat for a shitty franchise. A lot of peripheral fans will tell you he suck

He never played with any sort of creative offensive mind and had minimal weapons outside of AJ. He could have a resurrection similar to Tannehill in the right system

Cincy wants to grant favor to Dalton for his years dedication.
So he will have some say in where he lands. I would think it's somewhere he has the best spot of starting.

Why wouldnt we just re-sign Teddy if Brees retires. I honestly dont think Dalton would be that much cheaper to justify taking over Teddy.

I dont hate the Dalton idea i just think we have better options in house. Id even rather roll with Hill.

That's because Drew is coming back. Anyone who believes otherwise is just foolish.

If Brees did retire, it would be better to bring back Teddy B. He’s younger, knows the system and is a FA whereas we would have to give up something to get Andy Dalton who only has one year on his contract and would be looking for a final big payday.

Also, Dalton is 32 years old which is typically the end of peak years for an NFL QB. Usually, peak QB years are 27-32 and QBs begin to fall off around age 34/35. Teddy B is entering his peak years. (Statistically speaking)

Honestly, I’d rather sign Crableg Winston as a FA and hope CSP could get him to grow up than trade for Dalton.

Id def take a shot on dalton.
He would fit in great with the offense.
Only thing is, brees isn't retiring for another year, so he would come to sit on the bench

He'll likely be released.

If CSP could Mr Wizard Jamis some maturity like he was the scarecrow would love to see what he could do.

Via the classic one year prove it deal of course.

He's most likely going to sit the bench behind a rookie QB in Cincy. If not at the beginning of the season, he'll definitely be riding the bench by the end.

By the way, I am not for trading for Dalton. He'll be a FA next year, unless he's traded and that team gives him an extension, so we could always revisit it then.

Look for Dalton to sign with Arians and the Bucs. Arians signed Palmer another fmr Cincy QB, and they had some success together.

You mean next year? Because he’s under contract for another year.

Would be very surprised if Teddy got a bigger contract than dalton.

Think Dalton will get 20 per at best. Teddy probably around 22-24.

Dalton will be 33 next year as a FA.

He will be traded or released by Cincy. They want Burrow.
