Honestly, it was the sadness and frustration from the Mikes and Fran era that led to Moore hiring Saban. Once Saban showed success, I think that the boosters were willing to pay up for connection's sake and not for influence.

First step: find an AD with the balls to tell Jerry to frick off.

Also, get Finebaum to talk shite about a potential coach's wife.

Did Ray Perkins win a national title? I can’t quite recall.... How about Bill Curry? He’s had to have won at least one, right? Hmmm... You would think at a program like Alabama, at some point in time, at least three coaches in a row would have won at least one.... strange.

You are not wrong, but I certainly wouldn't trade our history for LSU's. Would you make that trade? If not, why not?

Didn’t Mike Price win a national title for you guys?

He won the championship of life. Hooking a stripper on the company dime? Bliss.
Now, what do you think about my proposition? Tradesies?

No souls are required, Mr. Faust. Just a simple exchange of history.

Nah, winning a title or two in the 1920’s is cool, I guess, but I’ll take being the winningest program in the SEC going on three decades (with absolutely no sign of relinquishing) through three head coaches, each winning a national title.

Who gives a shite I’d take Bamas history over any team in college football.

You'd be stuck on 1958 if Nick Saban never set foot in Red Stick. You are kissing his arse and cussing the man in the same thread.

And you’d be stuck with Mike Shula had he never been the coach at LSU.

100% revisionist history. Keep moving the goalposts though.

You’re the one who started with the baseless hypotheticals, not me.
