OK, game tonight. What's the score?

I say 75-64 bad guys.

This thread makes me sad

Maybe we will pull an Illini game off?

Smith and Watson hitting a bunch of contested 3s is the only way MU can win tonight

and? That doesn't make it any less amazing that the beatdown didn't require any amazing performances or hitting ridiculously contested shots all night.

UF's defense was just bad or our offense was just running perfectly. Everyone just stayed in their lane and did their jobs.

They shot 63% from 3 and got 40 pts in the paint, most of which came from the guards. It was an amazing performance.....and an outlier.

Or it was a return to the median. We hadn't been hitting open shots since before the Butler game. We were shooting unbelievably poor on open shots even though we weren't creating enough.

63% from 3 is not anyone's median

The shooting is an outlier. The getting to rim and getting points in the paint shouldn’t be.

In order for an average to get back to....average, it requires some data points to be above average.

If a team averages 45% from 3 pt land, that means they have games that are both above and below that point. Personally don't think we are nearly as bad shooting the ball as we had been most of this season and in order for the average to get back to where they should be we will likely have games like this.

Go back and look at last year. This team was a good 3pt shooting team until mark smith got hurt.

40% from 3 now over the last 7 games. They should finish around 36-38% in conference based on how they have shot the ball in previous seasons.
