How was the field for that 8th and final game on Saturday? Had to be torn to shite after all that rain and 8 games.

Field Turf is pretty durable. I think it was fine.

Ideally, this event would be held at the Benz, or at Georgia Tech, but you could do much, much worse than GSU stadium. #RIPTedTurnerField

I think Turner is a better venue than Georgia Tech. MBS would be ideal, but I think GHSA was right to move elsewhere.

agreed. seatbacks, parking, easier in/out traffic, and field turf. BDS would have been a shitshow with however many games played on Friday night in the rain. Plus, Tech was hosting a bunch of official visitors that weekend anyways

Buford recruits. There’s some loophole in the system that allows it. Being a city school and not a county school or some such thing.
Yeah, my understanding is you can pay extra if you're out of district and send your son to Buford.

Turner/GSS still needs a ton more sprucing up (i.e. seat replacements and painting), but it's coming together

I live in Floyd County and I pay tuition for my son to attend Rome City Schools.

Granted, he is now in the 3rd grade. Tuition is $180 ($1/day).

And it's not an accident those public city schools that are their own school system all seem to have solid programs.

Marietta, Cartersville,Rome and Buford all come to mind and I'm assuming all have open enrollment.
