He won't get a mulligan championship though.

We're still in the hunt for a championship baw. I'll admit, our offense seems to get worse every week but we keep finding ways to win. Imagine seeing our offensive stats without looking at the score. You'd probably think that Florida and A&M blew us out. Kirby needs credit for rallying this team after the disastrous South Carolina game. Everyone counted us out. We just have to hope that Fromm finds the dog in him.

LSU was always in the hunt under Miles too, but the offense kept from winning it all. Can't believe the Ogre made better coaching hire than Smart. Coley sucks.

Coley was a shitty and lazy hire for sure. Hopefully Kirby will change his mind about the offense and hire a real OC in the future. His conservative philosophy has burned us many times. But it's too late now, we're gonna have to Kirbyball all the way now and see how far the defense can take us.

What was said in another thread - oh yeah...

They averaged nearly 39 points a game in Miles' championship year.

I have to admit it's looking that way but I have a feeling that it won't take many more key losses for key boosters and fans in general to demand more efficient/better offense.
At any rate, we will see soon enough vs LSU. For instance if we lose something like 41 to 35 then I chalk it up to a competitive game and LSU just being that good on offense. But if we lose say 41 to 21 then I will think: yea, LSU is good on offense and our offense can't compete against the better teams.

Without looking it up I feel like LSU was generally eliminated from the hunt by November most years since 2011.

We look like a Miles coached team, but I would argue our defense is better. Les Miles just couldn't consistently beat Alabama, I can't exactly fault him for that. If it weren't for Saban, he probably would have gotten another ring.

How much of that is because they ran into a pretty good Alabama team?

Miles won a NC and played for another so I can't see what your logic is.
At some point you are a Dawg or your not, the team is what is, just pull for and stop being a count.

A lot of it. But 1 loss teams are still in the hunt. They were averaging 4 losses a year I believe.

Miles was an OL/OC coach so the offensive was always going to be under his influence. Kirby when he finds the person he trusts will turn the offense over to them all defensive guys eventually do it. Kirby's only requirement will be not to hang the defense out to dry so no air raid basketball on grass stuff. He just needs to find that guy he trusts. Plus you are remembering Les Miles at year 14-16 as a head coach it the same argument the ranttards make when they call Kirby a Richt clone they look at a small sample in the beginning of his career and say that's all he will be. Coaches change some for the better and some for the worse but year 4 is not a definitive statement on someone's style or career.

Please.Les didn't come close to Kirby in his 1st four years of coaching and also inherited a ton of NFL players from Saban including a loaded senior class.

can you imagine IF we were to win the natty this year, and you look back on this year and realize how miserable you were for months during the best run we've had in 40 years.....kinda pathetic

Winning the natty this year with our style of play would be the most Georgia way to win it. We legitimately can frick around and accidentally win a national title.

Go back and check those offensive stats. We had more yards than flarder both running and passing. aTm beat us in passing but we had more than enough rushing to get us to 300 total yards, better than aTm. We are bad on offense, but at least be truthful when you criticize.

I meant Auburn instead of Florida. Clearly we are better than all these teams. We dominate for three quarters and but the offense keeps going three and out. The defense gets tired, and we give up points. Auburn and A&M had more total yards, more first downs, and more time of possession. My point is that the end game stats don't reflect how the games of gone.

Kirby isn't Les Miles until he refuses to change a bit longer. Kirby seems to be on the Miles track though.

Les has made a career out of inept offensive football. Kirby is in year 4 and has had one truly bad offensive season. Let’s pump the brakes a bit.
