Pruitt sticking with Guarantano as Tennessee's starting QB, says he's best QB on UT roster

Guarantano struggled with his reads. Too often he saw open receivers too late or didn’t see them at all.
“I don’t think anything is holding Jarrett back,” Pruitt said. “Hey, let me tell you, Jarrett Guarantano has practiced extremely well from spring to fall camp and has made some really nice plays in both games. Jarrett will tell you, just like I will tell you – we all, myself included – everybody has got to raise their standard and expectations in this program and be a little more consistent. That’s everybody, and he’s no different than anybody else.”

Guarantano is terrible. I would try someone because why the hell not. At this point we have nothing to lose.

He's a fourth year Junior that still can't see the field. I have no doubt that he's the best in practice. His problems aren't physical or talent based. They're mental and always have been. Let's pray he manages to secure a lead against Chatt so we can at least see what the others look like in a game.
