I apologize if this video has been shared already, but I came across it and quite enjoyed this guys insight. He uses footage from Aday to break down nicely Bama's RPO stuff as well as the new West Coast stuff, pointing out both the good and the bad. It's quite informative for those who like this sort of thing, and this guy doesn't waste the viewers' time like many youtubers. Roll Tide.

Very interesting breakdown IMO.
All the same issues with Tua being able to deal with one particular cover scheme where they show zone and switch safety coverage into man. Because he was deciding to throw to a spot pre snap our offense was dead in the water when teams with plus level defenses started showing that look.
I was apt to think it was coaching after Mississippi State, but UGA and Clemson both pulled the same thing and Tua never was able to adjust.
Will be very interesting to see what Sark is able to do with him, but plenty to work on over the offseason and wasn’t real excited by the A-Day showing as far as progress.

A-Day is always so vanilla that it's really hard to gain much information from it.
I think it was 2012 and AJ threw as many interceptions in the A-Day game as he did all season or something that like that.
I mostly like getting a glimpse of the younger guys.

Yea can’t tell much in A day but offense was pretty underwhelming . Running game too
Metchie was a bright spot though

I try not to put much into A-Day, but the fact that the receivers and Tua seemed on a different page a few times got my attention

Think we were used to seeing receivers more open during games last year. Could be the D has improved also but they did seem off for whatever reason

Saban allowed the D to use sets that would force Tua to make post snap reads IMO.
It didn’t go well. The first string secondary is also pretty damn good which didn’t help.

That is to expected with a new OC IMO. I might be wishfully thinking though.

It was more the receivers dropping passes, than not on the same page. Jeudy had at least 2 drops, and both stopped drives. If Tua is going to take the short, conservative pass, they have to hold onto the ball.
You have to remember that the defense knows our play book backwards and forwards.
