Oklahoma was a weak team overall and Bama should have been better prepared for Clemson. Bama should have blown OU out but the mental discipline and execution problems were evident in that game as well. Clemson was too good to make the mistakes Bama made and they were costly.

Well the bad news is they are probably breaking down more Bama film in Clemson as we speak

They can literally go on cruise control if the make it through mid-September. It’s absolutely ridiculous

Aug. 29 (Thursday): Georgia Tech
Sept. 7: Texas A&M
Sept. 14: @ Syracuse
Sept. 21: Charlotte
Sept. 28: @ North Carolina
Oct. 5: OPEN DATE
Oct. 12: Florida State
Oct. 19: @ Louisville
Oct. 26: Boston College
Nov. 2: Wofford
Nov. 9: @ N.C. State
Nov. 16: Wake Forest
Nov. 23: OPEN DATE
Nov. 30: @ South Carolina

Note the 2 bye weeks. And a conference championship 2 hours from campus against what will probably be a 4-loss team

I don't think any of us would quibble with the statement that that game was a television ratings match up. Everyone wanted to see a showdown between the Heisman winner and the runner up.

Their defense was garbage but their offense was one of the most elite offenses in recent history. They would've beaten ND. Sure, there were some problems on our end in the OU game but it's not like we could've just rolled our helmet out there. Our offense had little margin of error and that game was extremely taxing.

We could've/should've been better prepared for Clemson, but it's not like we could've overlooked OU.

Being the #1 seed did us no favors.

There’s literally zero benefit so far in the playoffs being the no.1 seed as exemplified by zero no.1 teams winning it.

It will never happen, but the #1 team should be given a choice on who to play. It's hard for me to die on that hill though because the rankings are subjective. It's not like a team truly earns the #1 seed and its why I'm against playing the semi-finals on campus.

FIFY

The ACC just isn't very strong right now.

Bama will just have to take care of business to get another shot at them. And when they get that chance, we'll need to bring the A game. Trevor Lawrence is the most valuable player in football. Their top end talent is at least as good as ours, and their coaching staff might be better overall honestly. They've taken two out of the last three from us, and the last one was a fricking blowout.
