Kirby stated he wasn't with the team because he had medical issues. Rumors all over the place it is an addiction problem with drugs. Hope the kid can get his shite together.

Tennessee media is grasping a straws. Gibbs has some issues but Tennessee is trying to recover from the #1 JUCO LB, LaKia Henry, decommiting.

I don't think the program is allowing undergrads to transfer to conference or upcoming opponents anymore. He would have to spend a season at JUCO in order to go to UT.

Can the program still block certain schools?

I thought there was very little the school could do to block transfers with new rules

Good luck to Gibbs if thats how its gonna be but obviously he has issues and won't see the field there either.

Well, I think Auburn has made a living proving that they don't necessarily have the same standards that others have when it comes to off-the-field behavior. Given how desperate Good ol' Rocky Flop is for relevance, I don't see their path being any different.

as I understand ity, the answer is yes

you can block a kid from straight up transferring to a rival; but I don't think you can stop hi from going to a JUCO for a year and then transferring wherever he wants

not 100% sure on that

Wish they would stop in conference free agency with the exception of graduate transfers which I feel have earned the right to go anywhere.

But if Gibbs is essentially cut from the team, maybe Kirby has no say.

I think UGA has to agree to let him transfer in conference.

He can go anywhere he wants as long as he sits a year out or goes JUCO. The only possible hold is the grad transfers and the NCAA has been pretty liberal about those or hardship cases.

If he is academically ineligible at UGA he can't play until he becomes eligible.
