Mac Wilson has deleted every Instagram post he’s ever made prior to Christmas. Very polished posts since then. Preparing to go through the draft and interview process it appears. That’s okay though. Surely we have someone better, just not as a experienced. He’s done nothing but disappoint this season.

Say what you want about him, but if he and Jennings go pro then our Defense next year will be even worse than this past year's Defense.

Didn't Mack play hurt most of this season? Thought he aggravated the same foot he played hurt with last year early in the season...

Whether he leaves or goes, he's obviously been the best we had at the position and has helped us win a lot of games.

Mack Wilson missed some plays, but he made a helluva lotta plays, both on D as well as special teams, over the years and deserves our utmost respect. I never saw him take a play off, and I never saw him when he wasn't giving his all for the Crimson Tide.

Mack Wilson didn't play perfectly, but he played hard. Just because you missed an assignment doesn't mean you took the play off.

Some folks here want to reinvent the last 3 years because of recent butthurt.

Hey, Bamafan18, how many tackles do you have while suiting up in Crimson?

Zero? Thought so.

Say what you want, but Mac is no where near the talent we are used to at the middle linebacker position. If he stays, great. His experience alone would be great to have back. I get that he may have been the best available this past year, but I’m ready for someone else to take over the defense. His ceiling will never be as high as a Rolando, CJ, or Hightower.

And just because someone hasn’t suited up in a crimson uniform doesn’t mean they can’t be critical of the play they see on the field. By your logic, I should praise everything I see take place on the field. That’s not how it works. Come on now...

Critical? Yes. Disrespectful? No.

Mack Wilson had about as good of a Freshman and Sophomore season as anybody could ask for, but his Junior season was inconsistent. This also coincided with replacing the entire Nickle behind him, a myriad injuries at OLB, a lack of depth on along the Dline, and a first year-DC.

I'm going to reserve judgement on Mack Wilson's ceiling. He had a so-so year, but his future is not written in stone.

He's 6 foot whatever and 230-whatever and can absolutely fly. He's probably a safety at the next level, and will likely wreck folks.

I guess I'm just not a hater, and see the positives in players.

I honestly hopes he comes back.. we need someone coming back on D with fire and pissed off. Is Mack still a first rounder?
