He'd kill it in that system.

Will Mullen pursue, despite the risk of pissing Franks off?

He is a lot like Dak, for sure.

If Mullen can make Fitzgerald All-SEC caliber, he would make Hurts an All-American IMO.

He's very similar to Dak and Tebow. Strong, physical runner. Decent passer that is smart with the football. Good leader.

Its too obvious.

He doesn't have a bad enough throwing motion to fit Dan's system

If you turned Mullens loose in a lab, Hurts is the QB he would build.

Can't prove you wrong, but I think we would have a boatload of transfers and possibly be fricked going forward in 2020 and beyond if we don't keep and develop our own. So not so much about Franks, but the next 2.

Perfect move for both programs.

Franks sucks. So who cares what he thinks.

No chance of Bama and Florida playing each other while Hurts is there.

He is a good high quality college Quarterback but he does not have the arm talent to scare people. He can mix in runs with dink and dunk passes but kids is not going to be able to fit passes in tight windows up and down the field, teams started figuring this out the year before. The fact that he is surrounded by a world class defense and all stars at the receiver and skill positions hides that fact.

without those calibers of weapons that can take his short underneath passes to the house or receivers that are so talented they run free frequently, where all he has to do is lob it up deep. With out all of that it will be obvious he does not have the arm talent and would appear very mortal. At Florida he would be the better option than Franks, he would be used more like a running back that throws just to keep other teams honest but again his arm nor accuracy doesn't scare anyone so people would crowd the box against him. He is a good college QB but not one that is a game changer, not at all, not enough arm talent. He would win the QB job but not be a game changer, he is not in the same realm of accuracy nor QB skill of a guy like Dak that Mullen would love to find a clone of.

No one gives a shite about Franks. Mullen already has 1 bionic arm enrolled and another in the 2020 class, doesn't need leftovers.

How big is he?

6'3" 235 seems like the small end of what Mullen likes in a qb.

Always seemed to me that Meyer (at times), Addazio, Mullen, and even Snyder at K-State ran a variant form of the spread where the qb assumed the role of the FB in an old school pro-set offense.

You don't even see it in the pros anymore, but once upon a time you'd see tandems like Pittsburgh with Blier/Harris, Miami with Kiick/Csonka/Morris, Cleveland with Mike and Greg Pruitt, even Dallas with Reeves/Garrison or Newhouse/Dorsett. And heck, going back even further there were these guys named Hornung and Taylor...

Then Joe Gibbs happened and it was all H-Back, H-Back, H-Back.

Remember when y'all said MSU would finish with a higher recruiting class?
