You know you already have the win. What do you do until it is official?

I fish. The LSU game last week is the only complete game I have watched all year and it turned to be just as boring as the others.

It's just as a exciting as it was during the Perkins/Curry/Dubose/Shula years I sat through.

I'm just a bit less stressed.

Bro, I am being serious. Watching my Steelers play on Thursday night is the closest I will ever come to being a Bama fan. This is a week in and week out thing for them. The only real challenge they face is the actual championship game. At some point it has to get a little boring. Curious what they do on game day. They know I do not troll.

You are less concerned about the score and you are able to watch individual or unit matchups more closely. I've been focused a lot on Q. Williams this year. I think he is the best player not named Tua in all of football.

You get to focus on a lot of other teams and imagine how they would match up.

It allows you the freedom not to worry as much and really enjoy all of college football.

In all seriousness, my gameday rituals have not changed too much since the Shula/Fran/Dubose days, other than the usual effects of getting older and having kids. I still watch Gameday, still watch the big games throughout the day, and still watch our games from the first play to the last. However, I don’t get as amped up for the games as I used to. Tennessee and Auburn in particular used to be games that I would be excited for all year round, and the week of those games I would be on the edge of my seat with nervousness and anticipation. I’m not really that way any more. I still look forward to games, but not in the way I used to. Some of that is no doubt due to getting older and having a family, but some of that is also due to the fact that I don’t have to worry about games anymore. Back in the pre-Saban days I used to get so fricking mad because we were goddamn Alabama and yet we were no better than any other program in the conference. I was mad that I didn’t get to see the Bryant glory years and just had to hear about them from my dad. And yet, now, here we are. Don’t have to be mad about that anymore.

The entire football world is in submission to Bama. We have no equal. So I am tense and gripe about insignificant things like “extra points”.

I enjoy it because it won’t always be this way.

I’m enjoying the ride. I’m a man. I’m 40. So, I remember the Mike years and the non-Stallings era. I remember losing, so I appreciate the history that we are witnessing. I really never thought it could be this good, even after Saban got off that plane in Tuscaloosa.

I get up and watch Gameday. I watch as much as college football as I can and wait for the Bama game. I’m still as excited for every season and sad to see it go.

You sir are no real football fan. Why would you get bored watching your team perform a football clinic week after week?

Giving u a straight up honest answer. There is no real concern about outcomes. If we have 6 turnovers or something it's possible but u know there is so little chance u lose its almost uneventful.
U do get to enjoy the atmosphere without much stress. That's cool.

Even on the road, u hear the crowd noise and know they are basically wasting their time.

I can't remember the last time I thought we had a chance to lose. Even those playoff games, they never have been stressful. The 3 bcs championship games were foregone conclusions. Texas wasn't good enough, we weren't gonna miss a dozen fgs against LSU again and Notre dame should have never even been there. These were the feelings BEFORE the games.

I still love it and get excited every week just like I did during the Perkins, Curry, Stallings, Dubos, Franchione, and Shula eras. Those days were rough and I’m truly appreciating this Saban run. Since you’re an avid LSU fan OP I will give you a brief antidote from me sitting in Bryant Denny in 2001 and watching Rohan Davey throw for like nine hundred yards against our Bama defense. Those were rough days man. So I don’t take this current run for granted. These younger Bama fans that only know the Saban era probably are bored and unappreciative though. They haven’t tasted much bitterness at all.
