3. DEANDRE BAKER, GEORGIA – CORNERBACK

Has made a play on the ball on 33.3% of his targeted passes – two interceptions and eight pass breakups on 30 targeted passes.

4. GREEDY WILLIAMS, LSU – CORNERBACK

Williams has allowed a 40.1 passer rating into his coverage, just 0.5 points higher than if the quarterback threw the ball in the dirt on every pass,

5. QUINNEN WILLIAMS, ALABAMA – INTERIOR DEFENSIVE LINEMAN

Williams is joined by Temple’s Michael Dogbe as the only two interior defensive linemen to currently rank in the top five in terms of most pressures and most defensive stops. Dogbe, however, has spent 164 more snaps on the field than Williams.

6. DEIONTE THOMPSON, ALABAMA – SAFETY

Thompson not only ranks first among all safeties in overall grade (92.0), he also leads all that nation’s safeties with his 91.3 grade in coverage.

7. JEFFERY SIMMONS, MISSISSIPPI STATE – INTERIOR DEFENSIVE LINEMAN

Simmons has pulled down 16 defensive stops and 13 total QB pressures this season.

9. JONAH WILLIAMS, ALABAMA – OFFENSIVE TACKLE

Currently the second-highest graded tackle in the country behind only Georgia’s Andrew Thomas (175 fewer snaps for Thomas), Williams has allowed just four total QB pressures on 226 snaps in pass protection.

16. A.J. BROWN, OLE MISS – WIDE RECEIVER

Brown currently ranks second in the nation with 798 receiving yards from the slot.

20. JOSH ALLEN, KENTUCKY – EDGE DEFENDER

Allen has racked up 15 combined sacks (8) and QB hits (7) and 36 total QB pressures on 161 pass-rushes.

21. JACHAI POLITE, FLORIDA – EDGE DEFENDER

10 of Polite’s 24 total pressures have ended with the quarterback on the ground either by a sack (5) or a QB hit (5).

22. DEVIN WHITE, LSU – LINEBACKER

Among linebackers with fewer than 70 pass-rush attempts, White ranks second in the nation with 17 QB pressures. He’s recorded those on just 58 pass-rushing snaps.

29. GREG LITTLE, OLE MISS – OFFENSIVE TACKLE

Little’s 90.2 pass-blocking grade is fourth in the country as he’s allowed just four pressures on 311 snaps in pass protection.

The night that Leonard Fournette had 7 carries for 249 yds vs Ole Miss, PFF had 4 Ole Miss defenders “graded” above Leonard. I wouldn’t put too much stock into it. We’ll see where the NFL actually draft theses guys in March.

Not necessarily because of anything in this particular article but PFF is the worst website of all time.

Seeing Josh Allen starting to pop up on some Pittsburgh mock draft boards already.

I'd rather us take a CB or LB in the 1st rd, but I like the idea of sliding him out to OLB similar similar to Dupree.

I lol’ed at that one...

And fans from other conferences say the SEC is overhyped... well, our guys are getting drafted the highest and paid the big bucks. So that says something, right? Simple logic I guess gets lost the further you get away from the south.

I wouldn't call it the worst. It's definitely interesting but certainly not the gospel some treat it as. For starters, they don't even provide the metric by which the players are graded but always provide a numerical value for the players' grades. It's hard to take any statistical analysis that fails to provide a basis for their analysis completely seriously.
