So PFF College has Auburn ranked as 5th best o line in SEC. Either that is really off or the SEC really sucks this year.

I caught a part of the LSU/LA Tech game were LSU was on the goaline and tried to muscle it in. La Tech stonewalled them. They had to spread the field to run it in. Who are the 4 ahead of us? Bama, uga...?

From what I've seen offensive line quality is down across football including the NFL. I don't really any any guesses as to why, but its something I noticed starting last year.

Last year our Oline sucked and they were in award contention.

A few thoughts:

1) really good Offensive linemen make a difference but they rarely make up for bad offensive linemen

2) it might be better to take quantity over quality. Some of our best OL have been recruited for DL or lightly recruited at OL. It’s a crapshoot at best and having someone that can evaluate these guys from experience might be more valuable than the guy that can land a 5*

3) it’s tough to evaluate, in high school, kids that are playing a position that requires you to be physical AF, 300+ lbs, and borderline crazy

I wonder if there will be a Calvin Ashley sighting at some point.

Especially when most games they match up against fat, 250-270lb kids who won't play another snap after HS

UGA looked pretty sluggish against the powerhouse Missouri team. Not that our team can cast stones.

I saw a stat were we rank dead last in the SEC in plays of 15+ yards
20+ yards
30+ Yards
40, 50, 60 so on

I said this before but it literally looks like out offensive philosophy is to gain 10 yards 10 times until we hit the goal line.

When you can't run on a 7 man front...you aren't going to have many plays down field with 2 safeties high.
