Two QBs in two days is Sumlin levels of proficiency. Thoughts?

Only one of them was a highly rated recruit. Nothing tops Sumlin losing three 5 stars

McMillian wasn't exactly a 5-star

No doubt, Sumlin took a much bigger dump in the bed by losing 2 5* QBs, the Arizona guy and that midget. Who was the third guy?

Well yeah but someone has to take the crown now, and I think we have a very legitimate contender

To be fair, neither was that midget.

I mean, legacy or not, that dude had no business playing college football. Aggy should be ashamed that not only did he suck, but he caused the other guy to transfer. That’s another in a long, 100-year history of Aggy finding an impossible way of fricking things up. I don’t see how anyone can expect Jimbo to succeed with that level and history of Three-Stoogery. It’s almost cutural.

At times, one would justifiably be embarrassed to admit (even on anonymous chat forums) to being associated with that “sleeping” (comatose) giant of an under-achieving program. The limited recent progress is 30 years overdue.

LSU has got to be one of the best post-2018 season potential gigs for an up and coming coach, or a wily older one.

Petrino could be interesting.

The guy at Wake Forest might build a monster.

The Pirate would be a blast.

Brohm?

With their 0 line play by the time they play Bama, they
may be starting a non scholarship QB...

53% of top 50 QB prospects since 2011 have transferred and 47% of 4 and 5 star QBs have transferred in that same time frame. That is a 175% increase from the previous 10 years. This is not just an LSU problem. This has become a nation-wide epidemic due to QBs simply not understanding that there is no guarantee they will start early on in their careers. There are a finite number of starting D1 spots and dozens of highly rated prospects every year.

As it pertains to LSU, they have yet to have a QB transfer that amounted to anything after they left. The QBs that actually stayed with the program ended up starting and had success doing so. As for McMillan, he has graduated, can transfer without sitting out, and has 2 years left to play. With Brennan and Burrow being ahead of him on the depth chart with as many or more years of eligibility left, I don't blame him for transferring. he was never going to get meaningful playing time here, and I wish him the best.

Narcisse, IMO, is making an emotional and somewhat irrational decision. He was already guaranteed to see the field this year. He admitted he wasn't ready to start and still has 3 years left to play. He has already burned his redshirt and hasn't graduated, so he's going to burn a year of eligibility regardless, and if he doesn't go the JUCO route, he won't be playing this year. Brennan is in a similar situation as Narcisse and understands he's not ready and will have to wait his turn and isn't transferring.

IMO, it all boils down to the visions of grandeur built up in these kids' heads when they're in high school. They all grew up being the best in their area and fail to understand that there are hundreds of elite prospects around the country. However, they all think they should be starting at a major D1 school and will all be NFL QBs. The unfortunate reality for some of these kids is not all of them are ready and many won't be until they're upper-classmen, and there's nothing wrong with that.
