Looking at Next year

Looking at proposed depth charts, we will have better athletes on the field. We will have better depth on the DL and they should be more developed. I’m picking Trent Thompson to stay. We will still have some size issues at key positions, mainly SS With JR Reed and we don’t have anybody at corner opposite DeAndre Baker. Assuming Roquan leaves we will probably have a void at ILB unless one of the freshmen or incoming kids can really step in but a current Kid on campus is more likely. Defensively, we will have many of the same issues in that we lack depth overall, some size, and speed in the secondary.
Offensively, Riley Ridley has all the tools and if Matt Landers is as advertised we will have size and speed on the perimeter that we’ve not had since AJ Green’s freshman year. The competition at all of the OL positions will drive our line next year. Kendall Baker needs to man up in the off season or get the heck out of the way of Jameree Salyer. RT will be our largest question mark between Isaiah Wilson and Cade Mays or maybe even D’Marcus Hayes. TE is very healthy and obviously our backfield is stacked.
We will probably not be as strong in special teams as we were this year thank to Cam Nizialek being a freaking stud punter but who knows. If our offense is better it won’t be as important that we have an NFL punter but would still be nice.

Our schedule next year is very favorable and is not overwhelmingly difficult. Looks like we have a good chance to win every game.
To me, playing at South Carolina on September 8th will be a good test with what muschamp is doing with their defense.
At Missouri with a younger secondary and an improving Missouri will prove tough but on paper right now i’d say we should be favored.
At LSU will be an interesting game. Despite Ed Orgeron’s innate ability to implode football programs going to Death Valley would be pretty tough for a lot of teams.
I look at GA Tech as being a tough game due to the youth and overall inexperience of our players esp vs a triple option offense. This could prove wrong and the game is at home but that offense can be very hard to stop when all of its pieces are in place; however, don’t expect them to have their pieces in place.
We have a real shot to compete next year for the SEC title and if we can grow up enough and get over a few hurdles here and there we could get back to this game or at least the semi-final.

We had an overhaul on the OL after 2016 and found a way to improve all year.
My hope is that Baker, Lecounte, McGhee, Reed, Webb, and Gibbs will be ready in the secondary.
We've got a lot of 2017s at CB that can surprise like Baker as well.

No it’s called moving on. This not a wait till next year we will be back.
Facts are this, we have more skilled players but less experienced players moving up the chart, we play in a really crappy but improving side of our conference, and our schedule is extremely favorable.

Don’t worry about him, he is a band wagon fan who was on board for a week and didn’t get his way so now he goes back to Notre Dame or Vanderbilt or wherever in the heck he is from.

Who in the frick in their right mind would be on the georgia bandwagon? Oh wait you’re right, I’m on this bandwagon along with the smashing your own testicles with a hammer band wagon, and the chewing on tin foil bandwagon among others

I’m fine with talking about it, I’m just saying here we go again. There’s always next year.

Only in Georgia would the Falcons and Dawgs blow halftime leads in the biggest 2 football games in 1 calendar year...
We don't have bandwagon fans.

It really is remarkable. Falcons loss made this implosion easier to handle since it was there in the back of my mind the whole time, like a book that was already written. No shock, just disappointment and "of course we did..." and off to bed.
