He got dissed again after his freshman year. Then they said he did not have enough punts, dont know what happened this time.
Don't think we have ever had a player win the Ray Guy award. Mohr? Not sure.

I wouldn’t trade JK for any punter in all of CFB.

I hate it for Scott. He's obviously the best in college. His average this season was his lowest. And I can't find a start regarding placing it within either the 20 or the 10.

He'll still get drafted higher than any punter out there.

The award is a complete trash after him now winning it as a Freshman.

Bama gets blown out by Ohio State if it weren't for JK Scott his Freshman year. Best performance by a punter I've ever seen.

JK is one of the best I’ve ever seen at dropping it inside the 20 and usually inside the 10. He’s got to at least be in the conversation as the greatest Bama punter ever. I wouldn’t trade him for anybody and he will be the hardest senior to replace.

Scott should have won it his freshman year, it wasn't even close.

They clearly didn't want to give it to a freshman, which is complete crap.

I thought he missed the minimum punts his freshman year? Am I just making this up?

Now, part of this credit goes to the gunners and coverage team, but I think we've allowed less than 10 punt return yards all year.

JK Scott and Daniel Carlson are arguably in the "all time" discussion for their positions yet neither won the Ray Guy or Groza for best at their position

It's an F'ing sham

Believe it was his FR year that he had a higher avg than every NFL punter.

It was something like it would have been an all-time top 30 or 25 season in the NFL.

Has he even had a punt returned this year?

Scott was not named a 1st, 2nd, or even a 3rd team All-American by the AP.

I think they just look up the highest average when it comes to the all American teams. JK did have his worse average of his career

It’s kind of something you want for your player, but it means in most cases that your team is suffering elsewhere.

It’s like you have to have a shite offense and/or record for your punter to be considered for the award. Just look at the finalists and their team’s record.
