My honest assessment with no trolling: LSU is not in good football shape.
They tried to HUNH on offense in the first half, and it wore out their O before tiring the State D.
Fatigue leads to sloppy play: poor routes, dropped passes, stupid penalties etc.
Sometimes this happens when a "players coach" takes over. He's hesitant to grind his new team into shape and it shows. You can only depend on superior athletic ability for so long

lesson learned about entitlement and humility to both team and fans.
If entitlement is wanting to win then every fan base in the country, from pop warner to 13 year old gymnastics, is "entitled".

Wanting to win and expecting to win are two very different things that LSU fans somehow can't differentiate between

Vandy is undefeated and playing in the national CBS timeslot fresh off a big OOC win you dolt, this is exactly the delusion the OP was refering to.
Your an idiot, if LSU is now lesser than Vandy, then why is your whole fan-base on cloud 9 after beating the cellar-dwellars, that is LSU?
MSU won for only the second time in 20-some odd years in this series, so if LSU is a lesser program than Vandy, does this make State Kentucky?
Be proud of your team, don't undermine they're win like that, I for one don't look at it like we had a bad game, we would have won if blah blah blah blah. I think if we didn't have the mental lapses, sure we would have made it closer, but the facts is, right now at this moment in time, MSU is a better coached, and better team than LSU. NOT a better program, but yes better team. I will be cheering you guys on for the rest of the season, State has always been the team I pulled for behind my Tigers, but next year, it'll be back to the arse kicking

What the OPs point was is that LSU is not the team they were before 21-0. The majority of their fans understand this. The team has slipped and if you are honest with your self you can see it.
To turn this around you will have to start with the AD and clean house.
But , hay many I don't know what I'm talking about.

No, LSU does NOT have superior talent. The high rated recruiting classes are a fraud. They have always lacked key elements such as linemen, or linebackers or QBs. There hasn't been a complete team recruited at LSU for years and years.
Superior are YOUr words. We have had the most NFL talent or top 2 NFL talent for at least a decade now and nothing to show for it.
To suggest its "delusion" when we look at other teams doing more with less is not "delusion".
LSU has a lot of advantages both with Louisiana talent and no instate threat.
What LSU lacked was QB development and consistent quality coaching at the HC position.

Between injuries, suspensions, and ejections they had to move the NT to DE.. and were down to walk ons for depth
