I'll own it. Was not a Harris believer until tonight.

I sure do remember our fans saying that.

Don't forget, he was the top rated RB from his class. Not an LF or Najee Harris level talent coming out, but he's good. He's not a speed back, he's a lot like Ingram. That said he got ran down because Adoree Jackson is one of the fastest players in the country.
Damien has vision and wiggle, I'm looking forward to seeing how this season goes for him. We seemed to really mix it up at RB, Saban's probably trying to see who will ball out with the lights on. Harris passed. OL needs to continue to gel.

I will own it too and he was not good last year when I made the comment but he has gotten bigger and stronger. He is da man.

138 yards on 9 carries. That'll work.

Dude is very much a speed back. Very few guys in CF are gonna run him down

Jacobs looked pretty fast too.

I never gave up on him
I actually love our stable of backs. They all seem to run downhill with some explosion and shiftiness. Looks like we could do some 08-09 kind of running where we just beat defenses down.
That is, if Lane will stop trying to run the ball sideways half the time

Everyone was hyped up on Bo and I had a strange feeling all along that Harris would be better. Bo is good too, but Harris played better in that game.

Ya I thought people gave up on him a little too early, also glad to see the #3 rb get some work just in case.

and most of those comments came after the end of last season and he did not really have a stellar freshman year. I doubt anyone talked like that after the spring game.

Didn't a dude run him down before he got the goal line on a long run? Or was that because the guy running him down was an All-American WR? We had like 4 running backs play last night so I can't even remember.

Surprised we used all 4

quote:Yes, a guy ran him down twice. However, that guy is one of the fastest in college football. He scores both of those against pretty much every other team.

Speaking of, can you imagine Jalen and Najee in the same backfield next year?

Remember when some of our other fans said those fans were wrong? It was obvious last year that he's very talented.
