So I saw some reel with CJH talking to some wanna he’s and he was asked about the playoff teams. They asked what would the perfect 4 teams be and he responded, naturally, the top 4 teams in the SEC. It’s hard to argue that he’s not correct or some mix of that quartet and tOSU or Michigan; this past year.

However, given that most on here's argument this past year was who really should be getting n against deserving.. etc..,

This is exactly why you want expansion… the committee is never going to put more than 2 teams in from one conference in a 4 team scenario and 2 losses will all ways be more than 1. So, with 12 teams you get to put the all the deserving teams in ; when you win win your P5 Conf and have a 1,2, or 0 in the loss column; you are deserving.! You also though get to put in the teams that appear by their level of play to be great teams, but may have had harder schedules.

While there will obviously be blowouts in the 1st and 2nd round , sometimes. The semi finals and championship games should if not guarantee you have the very 4 best teams in the country.

Cancel conference championship games. Quit playing weak OOC games. Have a 10 game schedule and expand playoffs. DIV II already has this all figured out. Have no idea why DIV I can't get their shite together. Probably because they are more worried about money than anything else. Conference championships are useless except to make the conference money.

Playoffs are about expanding the sport. Right now only about 10 teams have a shot every year. The Middle tier SEC schools get one shot in the regular season and if they lose they are done. In a 12 team playoffs they would get a second chance.

This is healthy for the sport. More games in October/November would matter because there would be more spots available. It would all work itself out on the field in the playoffs.

2 weekends of 4 games each would be a lot of fun.

Eliminate D2 scheduling. If it’s a matter of economic survival, create a fund from P5 revenue for these smaller schools.

No, we want standards and expectations to be in a championship tournament. We want to remove the eye test that causes bias and put teams that earn a spot in instead of just giving teams a spot.

We want the regular season to have meaning and for winning your division and conference to matter more than an eye test.

College football is the only football, high school thru pro, that doesn’t have preseason games so if you don’t have some cupcake games backup players stay too green too long. The conference championship games are “somewhat” playoff games. Rarely does a loser get it but it has happened because everybody else sux. Don’t like it don’t suck. If they increase the number of playoff teams they need to something the nfl didn’t. They need to increase the number of scholarships. Players will need more than one bye week to prevent some of the injuries. They should keep the bye week but 12 games, championship game and 2 playoff games is a lot of stress on the body. Add more teams to the playoffs means more games than that. That said I am for increasing the number of teams in the playoffs. Not sure how many but it would be fun.
