Doesn't sound like he has an anti-transfer policy to me. Sounds like he is experiencing the coaching changes that Saban faced at Bama and just isn't up to the task to keep it going. The fact that he is sticking to DJ as his qb is funny. Can't wait to see that guy in the bowl game because that will be the last straw. Clemson's problem is that they have a cake walk ACC schedule so when they meet a team w/ a pulse that shows their weakness they can write it off as a fluke. Fact is, Clemson would have been murdered in the SEC this year and years past and would have been forced to evolve. Iron sharpens iron. Cream putffs don't sharpen crap.

He did say that in the Sunday post game Q&A to the press. He was a bit defiant in his response. He does a lot of blaming everyone but DJ in the loss.

Saying it is one thing. Implementing it is another. Here is Clemson's 2022 transfer portal "recruiting" ranking from 24/7....
They took one 3* player in the portal.

After any game away team fans can get on Clemson’s field. See it all of the time. The last celebration by an away team was by Pitt fans prior to the 40 game home winning streak USC just broke.

I can see where you're coming from as a fan. As an outsider, Dabo has earned that right. He's shown in the past willingness to drop his current QB for a more capable player (Bryant->Lawrence), and been successful doing so.
If he's playing DJU, there's a reason for it. I don't think it's straight-up stubbornness.

One of the best in the business when it comes to building a culture and convincing people to come to a school. He's also far less of an egomaniac when it comes to recognizing you need great assistants around you. We'll see if his pride and ego when it comes to recruiting and the transfer portal consume his other good traits.

I'm not sure exactly, but there is an article in the Athletic talking about goalposts being torn down throughout the history of college football and almost all of the ones torn down before 1970 or so seem to be when teams win on the road.
Here's a snippet:
Bringing down a goal post was not for the faint of heart.
"In 1929, Georgetown beat Richmond, so Hoya fans stormed the field. Richmond’s brilliant head of police had told officers to protect the goal posts — city property — with force. What one newspaper described as a “bloody battle” broke out, sending three students to the hospital with cracked heads.
Alas, the Richmond head of police had only thought to protect one goal post, and when the Georgetown students realized the other end was left unguarded, they ripped down that goal post and marched out of the stadium singing the Georgetown fight song."
Some times they were tearing them down at home, but it was to keep the other team from kicking a FG to win or tie and forcing them to score a TD. Crazy stuff.
I think it went from road games to neutral fields. Tearing them down in bowl games after winning a title and then eventually people started doing it in their own stadiums.
Northwestern students tore theirs down in the eighties after they broke the record for consecutive losses. No. not ending their record streak, but breaking the record. They lost the game and tore down their own goalposts.
