Decided to do some quick math and comparisons.
Jimbo Average Cost per Win - $885,000
Texas A&M Average Attendance to fund those wins - 100,000
Geoff Average Cost per Win - $1,033,000
Georgia Tech Average Attendance to fund those wins - 40,000 (some of them GT fans)
Jimbo lost to Appalachian State
Geoff lost to The Citadel
Jimbo has been invited to 4 Bowl Games
Geoff has won 3 games per season
I apologize to any Aggies I have made fun of.

Tech has what they deserve, you should disband your football team.

When Collins got the job I read someone describe him as "a cross between Derek Mason and Butch Jones." Super trendy and connects with the players, and also completely full of shite and a fraud.

What’s your 10 year forecast of the GT football program?

But he’s gonna dominate ATL recruiting…

In all honesty, not incredible unless they go completely out of character and invest a lot of money in a big name. If you go back the last 30 years, excluding the last 3 seasons, GT has typically been a 7 win per season team with a few 11 win seasons and some 3 win or fewer seasons thrown in. If our AD makes a typical hire, 7 wins is going to be the average. I guess there are a lot of major programs that have averaged the same, but non-SEC teams don't improve stadiums and facilities averaging 7 wins per season.

It's a poorly kept secret that George Godsey will be the next Tech head coach. At this point the only drama remaining is who will be named the interim after Collins is fired.

Was the Paul Johnson move him stepping down? I thought it was crazy that Tech got rid of him with what he accomplished there. Yeah, he never had a shot at beating UGA after that first year but no coach at Tech is going to touch UGA with what Kirby is doing.
