I don't quite understand all the high praise for TN in the East this year. Seems extremely suspect considering both UTs seem to follow each other's footsteps in total disappointment year after year. Luckily, they do play in the East.

Hopefully Heupel knows how to develop a better culture than their Baseball program.

Happens ever preseason for over decade, same thing with you guys to a lesser degree.

Season starts and they fizzle out.

Should have a pretty legit offense, who knows on defense though.

Considering what Heupel had to work with last year, they had their most productive offense in history. Think about that. Offense should not be a problem. Defense, who knows.

All any school can really hope for is to be a dominant championship winning program like A&M

Are you talking about baseball? I don't think anyone in our fan base has thought we had a legit title shot in football except MAYBE Dobbs senior year. Other than that the only people that talk about Tennessee winning a championship are other teams members of the rant throwing out that tired arse "preseason champions" stuff. Find me one thread where any Tennessee fan is expecting to win the SEC, much less a national championship in football.

I hope so. Would love to have a historic regular season and win the SEC. I think we could handle losing in the playoffs in year 2 of Heupel.

In 2021 Tennessee had only 69 players. They had 28 players transfers out. Half of those players were starter. In 2020 Tennessee offense rank around 108. In 2021 Tennessee Offense ranked #7. Second year should be better. Our Defense was the problem. We will have to wait to see if we improved any.

You are an Aggie so it’s not to be expected….

But talent/system/year2 put them ahead of:
Ball St, Pitt(lost their O) , Florida (believe it when I see it, Akron, LSU(complete rebuild), TN Martin, UK (Vols Bitch), Mizzou, UofSC, Vandy (everyone’s Bitch). A decent QB in a great O system going into year two with a soft schedule. Upsets happen so figure they get upset 1 or 2 times at worst barring injury.

Thus the 8-4/9-3 projections. Adding some quality depth should see fewer games where they just get worn out.
