The Atlanta area is rich with basketball talent. How Georgia loses by 20+ to Northwestern is embarrassing

2 aspects:
1. Our fans really aren't basketball fans.
2. We have never had a coach capable of recruiting at a high level.
Maybe is a chicken/egg thing in that if we had a good team, maybe more or our fans would be interested.
If they build it, they will come.
Problem is, they haven't built it.

Our fanbase is mainly split into two sections. Those who don't care about basketball, and those who love our basketball like its a high school team and will root them on no matter what. Now the latter may seem good, but at some point those people need to stand up to the athletic department and tell them we won't stand for our program being so bad.

The rest of the SEC decided they wanted to care about basketball and we didn't. It wasn't that long ago that everyone besides UK was hot garbage besides some flukes here and there

Look at the bright side, the basketball team has won just as many titles as the football team over the past four decades.

I mean Florida, who many argue is your biggest rival, has been pretty solid at basketball for 25 years now. I just find it interesting that Georgia wouldn’t take more pride in the 2nd largest and most profitable sport.
