Man this sucks! He was my favorite, like assume he was for a lot of you. I enjoyed his basketball takes most. He was just a good genuine guy

We used to spend the night in Birmingham after home games and go to a specific gas station so we could pick up the Tuscaloosa News solely so my dad could read Cecil's Sunday article about the ballgame.

Damn . That’s awful. Was hoping the news last week that he was fighting hard would lead to a recovery . Shared it here before , but can remember calling the TNews on Sunday nights to get his summary recording of the weekend visits for prospects . Enjoyed his Sunday articles as well. You could count on Cecil to always shoot straight with Bama athletics
