Alabama vs Georgia: The Transitive Property Analysis

These two teams have three common opponents at this point, and after next week, will have four common opponents for analysis.
The transitive property is debunked, in general, but when you have a large body of common opponents, the transitive property becomes more legitimate.
Common opponents-
Florida
Tennessee
Arkansas
Auburn (after next week).
Against common opponents so far-
UGA has given up 24 points.
Bama has given up 88 points.
UGA has scored 112 points.
Bama has scored 125 points.
Initial conclusion is both offenses are on par with each other. The defenses are the big difference.
Discuss.

True. Bama can't lose.

Solid.
Let me add that Georgia's offense didn't have more points because we blew teams out and we could shut our offense down early, bring in scrubs, etc.
Same with the defense. Due to blowouts, we could take our starters out. This ended up adding about 4-5 TDs scored late in games that would not have happened had we been in tight games and kept our starters in.

Bama offense > Georgia offense by significant margin. Georgia defense > Bama defense by a significant margin. If both teams play their "A" game then Georgia wins. But Bama is capable of pulling the upset if Georgia has an off day. And I'm not sure Bama isn't in Georgia's head just a bit. So we have to play the game.

In averages UGA is a TD better than Alabama.
At Alabama's best they are pretty even.
At Alabama's worst Georgia is 17-21 pts better.
Georgia doesn't really have a best and worst because they've pretty much the same team all year long on both sides of the ball, so they are the constant. Alabama is the yo-yo - some games the defense is elite, some games the offense is elite, not many if any games so far where they've both done it (Ole Miss the only possible one).

Shite doesn't matter, UGA has been defensively better than Alabama for awhile now.
It's all about if Bennett keeps UGA ahead of the chains. If has a great game UGA wins going away. If he struggles then Bama will have more possessions. We have seen this before with elite Bama defenses just pile plays on them until they break.

Yea, the 3 biggest things in that game to me are
- Does UGA get 2-3 yards on their runs or 4-5. If it's the latter, Bennett will get easy throws for 1st downs and move the ball like they have most of the year.
- Can Bryce make throws down the field. It had been kind of his sole issue in the 1st half of the season, but he's gotten better as of late and was downright incredible yesterday. If he can make some big throws to Williams behind the defense it completely changes our offensive ceiling in this game.
- Does Alabama do stupid fvck up stuff like we have in some of our games?
Some things are just known - Georgia's front 7 will mostly get the best of our O-line, we will struggle to run the football, our defense will probably bust once or twice, etc. The top 3 things are what will decide if Alabama is Georgia's equal or if Georgia controls the entire game.
Alabama has a whole lot more "what ifs" than Georgia, and because of that they are rightfully the underdog. But they've shown the ability on both sides of the ball to be good enough to compete and win against anybody in America - they just haven't done it all at once. It's been 11 games, so it'd be foolish to "expect" them to do that over the last 2, but it's possible.

This Bama team is flakey. But bet your arse they will be ready to bring it against the dogs. Once that game starts no previous game matters. At kickoff it’s a clean slate and those stats are null. Bama has the experience of winning that game. Any honest bulldog knows it too. Bama comin’

Georgia is the better team and should win.
But until you actually play the game and NOT shite the bed, UGA should probably tone down the hubris

No math needed
Bama oline = not good
Bama dbacks = not good
Bama tackling = not good (exception #31)

Georgia should be solidly favored and will be solidly favored. We will see if they can beat the bogey man.

I think you guys are better than we are. However, given the pressure of the game and the fact we have survived to this point, let’s play the game.
