I'm looking for a Place for breakfasts and Bloody Mary that is kid friendly.
It's been a while since I was on sacred ground.
Thanks

I probably would have offered the Mayflower until you added in the Bloody Marys. Not sure abut both in one spot. Perhaps the UGA Hotel & Conference Center?
Actually, South Kitchen + Bar might be a good choice.

Says they don't open until 10am, do they open earlier on gamedays?
ETA- I called them, open at 10am even on gamedays.

South? Yeah, it's really a "brunch" with them. You'd have to make it quick with a noon kick.

I've been looking up all the spots, they all open at 10. If someone opened at 9, they'd make 9827364 dollars. This will be my kid's first game, trying to do the same thing as OP.

I just figured out my spot.
I was already going to park across the street from this place, and I know the food is good, my BIL used to work there, but I didn't realize they sell alcohol now too.
LINK
They open at 8am.
Beer and Wine and Mimosa, but no liquor.
Big City Bread Cafe

Wife in tow. Otherwise, there are hundreds of other options such as your suggestion.

Agree on Mayflower, first place i ate the first time I went to Athens.
Eat at the Mayflower then get a bloody mary at 100 bars downtown.

Thanks guys
I vaguely remember places like Buffalo's hosting breakfast 6 years ago. There used to be a continental breakfast at an Irish bar?? next to Washington Street Tavern in.... 2004

Mayflower is my favorite, my family has been there numerous times. But they don't serve alcohol and I'm not allowed to have a flask.

This is actually a good idea. Why aren't there breakfast spots with booze options? The food could be pretty marginal and it would still probably do well.

That was sorta my thought, too.

Probably because absent a noon kickoff game, there’s not much profit in it. That’s my guess. Labor would be an issue right now, too. Now, you’d think these established restaurants would have a protocol for opening earlier for these early kicks.

OP specifically asked for "family friendly" because he is with child, which eliminates all these suggestions of just going to waffle house and then bar hopping toward campus.

If you pivot to breakfast first then adult beverage elsewhere, check out Strickland's on Atlanta Highway on the way in.
They open at 6am
