Traveling to Auburn for Miss St game question

I’m bringing my son to his first Auburn game Saturday. We’re really wanting to make Tiger Walk, but I’m not sure what time I need to leave Birmingham in order to ensure I get there on time.
If we leave Birmingham at 6am, do you think that would be enough time to get to Auburn, park, and walk to Tiger Walk?

I don’t go to games often but when I go I bring my kids.
The most stressful part is finding a parking spot. I buy my parking spot online the week before the game. This makes it a pleasant experience.
I also do a very easy tailgate by buying Subway the day before and bringing it to the game. We usually ate in camping chairs in the parking lot.
That leaves time to walk around and maybe get a lemonade from Toomers.
Bring a roll or toilet paper and let your kids roll the trees after the game.
Here is a link to one of the companies you can reserve your parking spot before game day.
It is more expensive but less stressful than going without a space.

I usually come from the other direction so I don't know how bad traffic is coming from Birmingham but assuming it's similar for a noon game I'd give you about a 70% chance of making it.
How old is your son? Hope you guys have an awesome time!

Where at online?

I’d leave at 5:30 to be safe and ensure that you get a spot at Tiger walk where your son can see the players.

He’s 8.
Honestly, I’m worried most about his excitement level preventing sleep. He’s going to stay up late on Friday in anticipation of the game, and he usually sleeps until 7 every day. A 5am wake up call might make for a groggy experience.
I do like the idea of a prepaid parking spot!

Tiger Walk is 2 hours before the game. Just park on Donahue and walk down to the Tiger Walk. Stay at the 4 corners after for the little band pep rally. He will enjoy that then head in the stadium
Ive been to over 100 games and that is pretty much our routine. Easy to find a place to park, not a bad walk to the stadium and you can get out very easily to I85 afterwards from Donahue.
Enjoy the game. He will love it all

Kids are tougher than we are and adrenaline is a beautiful thing.
If he's so excited about the game that he can't sleep he's going to be on cloud 9 actually being at the game. The tired won't hit until the ride home.

Church parking lot near arboretum off of college street. It's easy to get in and out of. Not expensive.
Stairs in back of lot cut through arboretum and poo you out on the street near president's mansion

Another question - what time does the pregame stuff start in the stadium?
We also have passes to a scholarship tailgate at the Arena. Think there’d be time to hit Tiger Walk, visit the arena, and then make it for pregame cheers?

45 mins before kickoff. If you go to tiger walk, stop at the 4 corners pep rally then walk in the stadium to your seats, YOu will have about 15 mins or so before the in stadium stuff starts...

45? What kind of stuff are you want to see? The Eagle flight is usually like 20 min. before and nothing really happens before that unless you're wanting to watch the players warm up.

He asked what time the pregame starts. And that is 45 mins before kickoff
If he asked for what time the eagle flies, I would have given him that
He has a 8 year old with him at his first game. Trust me, a lot of that stuff that you dont give a shite about is what he will enjoy. Speaking from experience

Four hours, maybe five to be safe? I've never had to do that itenerary.
You can park at my house if you want and you can walk. I'm not down there this weekend. Its a little over a mile off of Moores Mill in a neighborhood to JHS. Its easy to get an Uber for pregame or downtown, but you'll be walking it or waiting after the game. Google says its 1.2 miles to and from each way.
