Post visit high. To their credit, both the Ole Miss and State insider guys on 247 on the day of his commit said there was a 0% chance it would stick. We called it sour grapes obviously but they said the kid has the personality of someone who will commit multiple times along the way.

Tenth 2024 in-state offer goes to Harding Academy LB Wyatt Simmons.

He's added Auburn, Arkansas State, Florida State, Liberty and Oklahoma offers in the past two days.

Columbia (Ga.) Decatur athlete Jadan Baugh has committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Baugh, 6-0, 214, went public with his decision on Friday afternoon during his team's spring game, choosing the Hogs over five other finalists in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Georgia Tech and Louisville. His offer list also included Miami, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas, Mississippi State, Virginia Tech and others.

Baugh was recruited to Arkansas by running backs coach Jimmy Smith and is expected to join Smith's room in 2024. Baugh made an unofficial visit in Fayetteville on April 4-5.

According to 247Sports, Baugh is a three-star prospect, the No. 41 athlete in the nation and the No. 49 overall target in the state of Georgia for the Class of 2024. The industry-generated 247Sports Composite rankings are similar, listing Baugh at No. 42 among all 'athletes' and No. 56 in the Peach State.

With the addition of Baugh, Arkansas' 2024 class moves from 16th to 15th nationally while holding steady at sixth in the SEC.

Arkansas' offensive commitment list includes Baugh, Birmingham (Ala.) St. Martin four-star quarterback KJ Jackson, Pine Bluff (Ark.) three-star wide receiver Courtney Crutchfield, while the defensive class includes Leeds (Ala.) four-star defensive lineman Kavion Henderson, Little Rock (Ark.) Mills four-star defensive lineman Charleston Collins, three-star defensive lineman Dion Stutts of Memphis (Tenn.) University School, Ocean Springs (Miss.) St. Martin four-star athlete Noreel White, Batesville (Miss.) South Panola four-star athlete Julius Pope, and three-star safety Tevis Metcalf of Birmingham (Ala.) Parker.

Decatur (Ga.) Columbia 2024 athlete Jadan Baugh has committed to Arkansas over Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech South Carolina and Louisville. Baugh pushed his commitment back nearly five months later than it was originally planned.

Baugh announce back in October of last year that he’d commit on Nov. 4, 2022. He felt uneasy things, so he pushed it back.

Baugh went through the process and found a home in Arkansas. He feels it this time around. Baugh feels he landed in a good spot.

“I’m relieved,” Baugh told On3. “That’s how I feel. I know where I want to be. I know where I’m wanted. I’m really excited.”

Jadan Baugh driven by relationships

Baugh feels he had a strong bond with the coaching staff. That was one of the main selling points for Arkansas. He connected with the coaching staff on a deep level.

“It was my relationship with the coaches,” Baugh said. “The bond was there and it felt really strong. When I got up there to see the school, it was like I can feel I can be there. They wanted me there. It wasn’t like I was just there and they just recruiting me. You can feel that sometimes when you get to certain schools. When I was there, I was like ‘they really want me’. I feel like I’ll do good there and I’ll be developed very well.”

Baugh knew once he got home from his latest visit. He talked with his parents and got their thoughts. Everyone was on the same page and felt the same things about the upside to making his decision.

“As soon as I got home from my visit, I talked it over with my parents and they thought it was the best decision for me and best place for me,” Baugh said. “I felt the same way about it.”

Baugh has high hopes for the future at Arkansas. He expects to play on the offensive side of the football.

“I feel like I can accomplish a lot just being there,” Baugh said. “I want to do all four years of school and graduate and I know I can do that there.

The stable of running backs for Arkansas has been stocked full the last few years, and one more running back announced his plans to join the Razorback program on Friday.

Jadan Baugh, a 2024 four-star athlete from Decatur, Georgia, made his commitment to the Hogs to his during his high school spring football game.

Listed as an athlete according to Rivals, Baugh was recruited to other programs to play linebacker, but he is expected to be part of a deep running back room at Arkansas.

Baugh chose the Hogs over the likes of Louisville, Georgia, Florida and others. He was recruited by running backs coach Jimmy Smith, which makes sense given the position he’ll play at Arkansas, as well as Smith’s reputation in the state of Georgia.

The 6-foot-2, 197-pound athlete took a couple visits to Arkansas, most recently on April 3 for an unofficial visit. He was supposed to come to campus for the Red-White game, but had to reschedule.

The commitment pushes Arkansas’ total commitments to 10 for the 2024 class, and Baugh is the first commitment in the state of Georgia for the class.

But we know the drill though, when signing day comes around several four stars will drop to high three stars and Arkansas ends up with a 27th ranked class.

don’t forget the real kick in the nuts.. when 2 or 3 of the really good players that we found early get noticed by the Georgias and alabamas of the world and flip at the last minute

The drill is everyone getting excited when we have 20 recruits committed and everyone else has 15 so the team rankings look like we have some great class. Not to mention our good recruits are almost always front-loaded in the commitment process. Last year was like a big practical joke on the uninformed fan.

We finished #22 with eight 4* recruits last class. That’s one of the better classes we’ve ever had in the rankings era.

I don't get excited over the classes because they always end up the same ranking and speak of the devil some of the rankings for the players began to drop.

Another reason I don't follow it anymore is that the portal is a bigger factor now and many of these players committed will hit the portal and not play a single down.

Exactly. It’s frustrating because they fluff the ranking # of the commits at certain schools, which in turn decreases ours. Causing us to end up at the ‘accepted’ position. It's a joke.

I enjoy the 'Re-Rankings"

Some years it shows how absolute dog crap the originals are...
