OU placed where they deserve

CFP committee got it right at #8. You cannot expect to be placed in the top 4, when you narrowly escape several losses to unranked (UTa, WVU, KU, Tulane) teams like OU has. You gotta think the committee is sick of putting them in the CFP only for them to blown out in the first round.

OU finishes the season with Baylor, OSU and Iowa State, plus the Big 12 championship. If They win out, they are ranked 2 or 3. So this ranking really doesn’t mean shite.

Given Baylor or OSU winning out till y’all play each other it would only be 1 top 10 win on your resume? Not impressive

I agree with the bolded part. Any team that will make the top 4 still has 4 games left.
A lot of the teams will lose a game before then, so the current ranking is worthless.
Except in the case of Georgia and Alabama. if neither loses before the SECCG there is a good chance both could make the 4 team playoff again.
100% chance is Alabama wins SECCG. they both get in
25% Chance if Georgia wins a close game that Alabama makes it in also.

Yeah, I'll take my earlier post back...they do deserve it.

It's simple, win out and they are in, lose one and most likely they are out, even if they take revenge in the CCG. They hold their destiny in their hands, they are improving, the offense is much better with Williams and the Defense is beginning to get injured players back which is all they can ask for.

Seriously dude. You have nothing to add but pure hatred. There are other threads that discuss this. You just hate OU and add no substance. LameTake.

This is the dumbest thing posted today and that is saying something... EVERY fan base is playing the "IF" game at this time of the playoff race.

I think OU will use this as motivational tool and will blow out teams remaining in he schedule

C’mon, No way Bama is in if they lose again. Don’t be ridiculous.

I would say Oklahoma (Big 12) is #4 in the conference pecking order since Oregon beat OSU. A Big 12 champ even with a loss will go over Cincy at the end I would think.

Here’s what OU and Texas are about to come to terms with when they begin SEC competition in the next few seasons. Both programs are going to be faced with the equivalent of 6 Red River Rivalries every season. Let that sink in for a minute. Virtually every Saturday in the SEC is a bowl game. It’s the whose who of college football. My advice? Prepare for how humbling it will be. There are no Saturdays off. Had you pulled your little stunt against Kansas in the SEC, that’s a sure loss. Buckle up brother, you’re in for one hell of a ride.

Indeed.

Obviously, the CFP values quality wins over wins (which OU does not have) and it would not be surprising if they have two big 10 teams (OSU and MSU) in before they have OU.

A 2 loss Bama would need everyone to lose to get in.

Can’t disagree with any of this. This is honestly the best thing that could happen to them. The media had the Sooners and Spencer Rattler so overhyped preseason that it was pathetic. Maybe they’ll take this as somewhat of a wake up call and put in some work

I seriously doubt OU wins all those games. OU is shite.
