He’s a fricking idiot. If he really was drunk or impaired he deserves to go to prison for this. There’s no excuse for that. Even less for a person in his situation that has the means to not be a fricking idiot.

It's weird because you become attached to these guys you don't even know because they played for the team you support.

My initial reaction was to try to defend him in some way but if it turns out that he was driving while drunk and killed a lady then he needs to suffer the fullest consequences of his actions.

It's so unbelievably sad.

Not sure what will happen here but some years back an NFL player got off real easy with mostly probation in some joke deal the victim's family and Judge signed off on because the family wanted a real big payout instead of him doing the time in prison and it wasn't going to happen without him being able to still play.

It's been a rough week to be a former bama receiver.

Knowing the NFL he will only miss 3 games and get traded to the cowboys.

Ruggs was drunk? Screw him if so. I had an uncle killed by a drunk driver and family I know was pretty much wiped out less than 24 hours ago by a damn drunk driver.

No excuse for this. If he was truly under the influence, lock him up.

If Rape is ok in the NFL, why not vehicular homicide/Intoxication Manslaughter?

Apparently the driver and her dog burned alive. I don’t know how to link the article, but I just read:

The Toyota burst into flames and the driver and her dog died, police said. The woman was not immediately identified.

Just sad. Not many good ways to go, but this is a particularly bad way.

May God be with her family.
