Like the other top teams in the league, loads of talent, lot of new faces. Miller was getting hyped as the best of the bunch, former near 5-star from Illinois x-fer. He's out for seaosn unfortunately.
Justice Williams was a 5-star 2022 kid who reclassed to 2021 (and dropped like every reclass does). He's been banged up and not practicing, dont know what the status is of him for the start of the season in a couple weeks.
So at this point it looks like we could be really light on guards with the injury to Miller and no word on Williams playing. Leaves us with Pinson (from Mizzou), Gaines from last year here and Murray (who has gotten some real hype himself) a true freshman at guard. Hopefully Williams can come back relatively soon here. We play Nicholls saturday.
Lots of bigs though. Reid should be a star out the gate (freshman 5 star center). Days is someone everyone knows of if you watch SEC basketball at all. Eason is a xfer from Cincinnati who has looked impressive early on. Wilkinson is a swing guy who started a good bit of games last year and his offense is supposed to be greatly improved. O'Neal like always is banged up and who knows if he can give you anything. Then a few freshmen in Fudge, Ezewiro and Colbert who will give some but maybe not much minutes.

I realize we're talking about Dick Vitale, but this may be the highest preseason ranking I've seen yet for Alabama.
Should be a very exciting year for the SEC overall.

Arkansas fans triggered yet again because they aren’t being unanimously picked as the highest SEC team.

Before the day is out, Golfer1 will be in this thread boasting of an Arkansas dynasty after making it to the second weekend for the first time in 25 years

So when Memphis goes 4-0 in its mini SEC OOC schedule, do we get an award or something?

Well, at least in regards to Arkansas, he didn't mention Jaylin Williams at all yet mentioned Vanover's return...
Williams will be the dominant presence inside this year, while Vanover was relegated to situational play down the stretch last year. By the pictures I've seen Vanover looks even skinnier this year if that's even possible... he needed to go the other direction.
So I question how much research was even done outside of Duke and Kentucky.

No way the Cats should be ranked behind Bama. They lost a ton on offense after last year.
