Really? There's a guy just a few posts up who claimed that he'd be a Heisman winner at Bama or Georgia. This implies that he literally plays Heisman level football, but everyone around him at Auburn drags him down.

Countless others here are extremely vocal about OL and WR's making mistakes. But because "Bo Nix plays hard", his mistakes are what...non-existent? Even though every game he plays, you can easily see 5-10 plays from him that are either poor decisions, missed routes, or horribly inaccurate passes.

Yes, everyone is aware that the OL fricks up and the WR's have dropped baffling passes. They get their fair share of criticism. Even TJ Finley gets criticism when he makes the exact same mistakes that Nix makes. Isn't that interesting though? When TJ Finley misses an open receiver, it's proof that he sucks and should never see the field. Bo Nix does the same thing 5+ times a game it's deathly silent..."but he plays hard". As if what, the OL isn't playing hard too?

Jang posted above that Bo would love to have all these great former Auburn players that did their jobs. Don't you think that Anthony Schwartz would LOVE to have had a QB who didn't over-throw him ~2 times a game? How many more yards and touchdowns would he have? It seemed to happen almost once a game while he was here. Seth Williams was so pleased with the QB play from Nix that they basically went off on each other on the sidelines on national TV.

I hope he comes back. Will be great to have him break all of Auburn's passing records

I've said this a million times by nowe: the only reason why you're willing to give him this infinite leash is because of who his father is. If this was "Bo Taylor" you would have asked for him to never see the field 1.5 seasons ago, and definitely not after last season.
You're an AU alum with TUF booster connections, or just have access to AU football practices.

I'll just say this. You don't know what the hell you are talking about. Neither do any of us who don't do it for a living. I doubt Harsin and Bobo are sitting a superior player. The refreshing thing about this board is most people realize they know nothing.

Look up Bo Nix's stats. That's it. That is reality. He's an above average SEC QB right now. Nothing special. Is Finley going to light it up? I'm not watching reps so who knows. The AU coaching staff thinks not, until they do.

It’s a 1 man game and 10 people stand around him doing nothing. Or so the Internet board level of football criticism goes.

You are reaching so hard now. This is pathetic. You think he is getting all perfect passes in the pros?

Do we want him to come back next year?
Well, unless we land some kind of freak transfer, yes? Again, he isn’t near the issue we have on this team.

I'm reaching because I torpedoed your idiotic statement?

Bo Nix would love Cooper Wallace, Ronnie Brown, Ben Grubbs, etc.

But Anthony Schwartz, who was constantly overthrown game after game by Bo Nix - wouldn't love to have had a competent QB LOL? Do you know how many times we had Schwartz open, and the ball just wasn't where it should have been? Or are you going to try and play dumb now, and pretend like it didn't happen once a game that Schwartz would be ~5 yards past his man...and the result was an incompletion.

What does this even mean?

He's an "above average SEC QB"...but "nothing special"?

Which is it?

And what stats are you looking at? He ranks near the bottom of the SEC in virtually every stat. That isn't "above average", dum-dum. Do you know what "above average" means?

Again. Pitiful .

Bo doesn’t have the supporting cast to even find the time to chunk the ball

Bo misfired on deep balls quite…as do all quarterbacks. lol

Stats tell the story. Bo Nix is an above average SEC QB. Not going to win any awards, but pretty good. Next. Smoke Monday has probably lost 5 games for AU with his blown assinments over the past two years. Any comment on that?

He was a highlight reel. Diving catches, one handed catches. He did it all.

You are reaching a lot on this assessment of Bo and normally I agree with you. Fact is Bo has progressed quite a bit this season compared to past years. Outside of the Georgia State game he has played better than he did in previous seasons. His supporting cast has been highly underwhelming in the WR's and OL. Tank and Cowboy have been solid, but if you don't have descent blocking there is only so much you can do. I'm not saying Nix is an All American at this point by any means because he has a long way to go. He has improved quite and bit and it should be commended for keeping us in games.

This is some revisionist history right here. I was always a huge Jason Campbell fan but he/we were underachieving big time until 2004.

Jason Campbell played almost his entire career with two top 5 NFL draft running backs, multiple NFL receivers, and in 2004 2 future pro bowl offensive linemen.

Yeah, if not for 2004, I don't think I would have anywhere near the same nostalgia for Campbell. I had such high hopes at the start of 2003. And that year, including the shenanigans, was such a cluster. What a waste of talent.
