We left at least 13 pts on the field

Our offense just seems schizophrenic. Or we’re doing a bit too much Houston Nutt, who would have wasted Cam Newton. We gotta out KJ in a position to succeed on every down in this league. We didn’t do that on at least a handful of 3rd downs.

Also, Smith should not touch the field on QB sneaks. No one expects him to get it the ball and he can’t push the pile. We have TWO big backs that have great explosiveness and power. It’s fricking crazy that our 180lb back is getting those snaps.

Holy shite has Jalen Catalon and the rest of the safety crew shite the bed since the TX game. They are repeatedly letting guys run loose in the passing game and with long runs. Jalen’s angles and tackling have been uncharacteristically bad since TX.

What is our defense taking away? I can understand not giving up a ton of running yards if you’re selling out to stop the pass. Or passing yards if you’re selling out to stop the run.

We are, I guess, trying to limit passing yards, but still give up tons and don’t seem very disciplined. Against non-vagina teams that aren’t soft, we’re getting gashed on the ground. We HAVE to solve one of those. To me, they have to bring more run blitz or use more 4 man fronts. Sitting back against a good QB and trying to get 3 man pressure against a pretty good OL hasn’t worked at this level. Change something.

Where did I say it was the offense’s fault? When your defense can’t stop competent offense, your own offense (which is capable of such explosiveness), should not waste downs in crucial situations. Some of those wasted downs seem avoidable. I don’t think that 3rd and 6th QB draw was a very good call.

We just didn’t get the same play calling in the 1st half as we did the 2nd. I love the 2nd half results. I hope it carries into a 1st half at some point.

And I literally talked about our defense’s inability to stop runs or passes, which is obviously a much bigger indictment.

I would have assumed that we were beaten handily. I would have assumed that they ran the ball well and we were playing from behind
