Curious after the Auburn game.

He makes a few mistakes like pretty much all young quarterbacks, but he has a lot of talent and has kept LSU competitive this season despite a crappy o-line and no running game. He is also throwing almost exclusively to freshmen and sophomores.

He was the last reason LSU lost to Auburn.

Hard to tell behind such a terrible O line and the worst running game in the league. Which makes me think he's actually pretty good.

He makes some plays where he looks really good. But then other plays his footwork and accuracy are off.

Not a very strong arm.

He’s a true sophomore with like 7 starts, no OL and subsequently no run game with a middling defense

He’s had a few bad decisions some of which can be linked to the above but I like him and think he’s doing the best he can

I can't complain about Max.

The kid is being asked to carry the team as a true sophomore even more than Burrow was as a fifth year senior with an offensive coordinator and head who don't know what they're doing.

For a true sophomore behind no offensive line, zero running game he is doing well, and a play caller who takes an incredible amount of time getting the call to the field. He has made some mistakes but he is being asked to do a lot.

There are times I find his arm strength lacking but I can't tell whether or not that is just him not getting his feet set because he is moving around so much.

That kid has a tough gig.

So weird to see LSU not even try to run the ball.

Not only do they not try to run, the RB substitutions have been mind-boggling. Davis-Price is a plodder but gets the most carries. The freshman Kiner looks good, but then gets pulled from the game after a couple of carries so that a ineffective walk-on can get some time.

He's been a little better than I expected him to be honestly. I thought he'd have more growing pains as the #1 guy, but the running game and gameplan has done him no favors. His weaknesses are what they are, but they're also not something he can really change (his arm strength, for example). But I think he's done an admirable job given the completely non-existent running game and swinging door OL. He's definitely not the reason LSU is not winning football games.

He’s a very young QB with some potential. Honest assessment is that he should have sat for at least a couple years before taking over. It’s really hard to grade him out fully considering just how bad our run game and offensive line is. He struggles throwing the deep ball. Almost of his passes are across the middle or jump balls where our receivers make a play.

Streaky. Not comfortable in the pocket, if there is one, happy feet. Other than that, he's great.

He’s pretty good for a sophomore, but makes a few bad mistakes per game. It’s hard to tell how good he could be as he’s running for his life every play behind our garbage o-line with zero run support.
