Still happening, just aren’t getting any tax money for it in Fayetteville, but we are offering overtime for cops.

Makes sense to me.

Losing 10+ Games of Revenue in 5 days, I don’t want to hear anyone bitching about small businesses going under if you run off money making things.

I feel there's some context that supposed to be here....somewhere...

All the people last year and this year crying about how games need to be full because small businesses are hurting, but then turned around and ran off BBBBQ. Because they don’t like the people it brings. Elitism.

Am I a fan of most of the bikers revving their bikes for no reason? No. But it’s no more annoying than the hillbillies rolling coal, all through the UA.

Their money is just as green and spends just the same. Plus they bring people from other areas so it isn’t just the same dollar circulating.

BBBQ was cancelled this year? Why?

I'm a little torn. It's an awesome event and I don't think it should be halted, but living a few blocks away from Dickson for 2 years made me absolutely hate the time of year it came around.

Reason #674 why I will never reside in Washington County. The dreck of the rest of the state is fine with me.

If you don't like Washington County because of snobbery, wait until you hear about this place called Benton County...

How much tax money is generally earmarked for this event

You are a count and your kind cost Fayetteville/Washington county $3m in revenue.

How will they make that back? Tax everyone else. The property taxes doubled this past year.

I get that, but you will still hear them because Dickson is Dickson and the riding is amazing around this area, we just don’t get the event organizers renting parking lots and beer gardens and sells of t shirts etc.

That will all be in Eureaka and Bentonville.

Ignorant post. This has nothing to do with BBBQ or whatever else Fox news told you. You can thank Walmart for that one

Maybe folks shouldn't vote city officials in that raise higher taxes.

Property assessment is county, not city. That's why it's going up. They reassessed Washington County

Oh yeah I forgot that was a county issue. It went up not a shocker in Benton County. It will keep going up to the point where I think the growth will spill into the likes of Madison or McDonald County.

No you twat, it has to do with more people moving into the area making land more valuable, but it could be eased by having other tax revenue flowing into the area.

I think most of the growth is centered around the campus but who knows you can’t drive more than a mile without seeing a construction site on any road it seems.
