I'm not a big nfl guy so I don't quite follow every detail. Obviously Brady is the GOAT and I can appreciate that. Only really follow ex-Bama players for what that's worth. Though I do pull for former Sec/ State of Alabama players as well.

I don't like yours. You have been proven wrong every step of the way during the qb competition between Cam and Jones, and yet you still won't admit you were wrong. In fact, you are wrong so often on this subject, it warms my heart when you predict Jones will bust.

Belichick with Brady as his starting QB: 224-66
(17 playoff appearances in 19 seasons)
Belichick with anybody else at QB: 56-71
(1 playoff appearance in 7 seasons)
Without Tom, he is what NFL Saban was: A loser.

Where am I wrong. I said that BB would use Jones to validate his system is greater than Brady. He tried and it failed. It will fail against any decent NFL team. Of course, they play the Jets next.
I predict that the Pats will bust.

So you're predicting a win next week for the Pat's with Jones as the starter?! I'll take it:)

The Jets are the worse team in the NFL. If the Pats lose that game, look out.

Mac did great and I'm willing to admit that I didn't believe he would win the starting job.

No telling you that this Experiment will not work. Trying to win games with conservative play calling and Defense will not work today. It is usually a scoring match in NFL. Today's game was the exception since both played that style.

It was his first start in a regular season NFL game. He did pretty darn good. Much better than I'm sure you're willing to admit.

not sure how "great" he was. They had 3 FG's. The TD drive was a gift after being stopped on third down and a BS roughing the passer call kept the drive alive.
ETA I saw the exact same play in another game and the penalty wasn't called.

This is true. I watched the game today and he seems to be far ahead of Tua. He appears to have good command of the O and he did show some pocket awareness. He made a couple of NFL type throws but most were checkdowns. We will see how he progresses throughout the year and how how he responds to the defenses adapting. He may be the one that sticks around for a while.
Hes obviously got the physical skills to get the job done.
I'll fade any action on his being a success in the league this year!

It is all part of BBs Experiment. But it is going to be hard to produce wins with that type of style. It will get much worse if they fall behind by two scores and force Jones to throw down field. Everything Sunday was very safe and really didn't put pressure on the QB. A poorly as Miami played on Offense, they were able to win because of NE Offensive gameplan. Luck for them the Jets are next.

Dude...did you even watch the game? He made some great throws downfield. A few of those were penalty plays that were called back. The one where he dodged out of a sure QB sack and then hit the receiver >25 yards downfield was a thing of beauty. Surely you don't think they plan on dinking and dunking the entire season? LOL...I'm sad for ya' man, I really am. LOL.

His longest completion was 27 yards to a wide open receiver and his next longest was a wheel route with a floater down the sideline. In the NFL you have to be able to throw deep, I don't think they even tried a deep ball Sunday.

Too bad Damien Harris’ fumble cost him the game.
He had a much better day than Tua.
Turnovers and penalties are still part of the game. Miami beat New England fair and square. You may just have to live with the difference.
