I don't think they even tried a deep ball Sunday.

So he needs to complete 2 or 3 long bombs per game to be considered a decent NFL starter? Hahahahaha!

This is what Fansided said:

Mac Jones completed 74% of his passes against the Dolphins. This is despite Miami having one of the toughest secondaries in the AFC. This shouldn’t be a surprise. During his Alabama football career, Jones’s accuracy set himself apart. Still, it’s nice to see that translate to the NFL.

There were a few passes that could have been thrown better, but he was easily the most accurate rookie QB this week. He trusted his ability to make passes, and that led to long drives for the Patriots.

He didn’t let the pass rush affect him. He went through his reads and found the open receivers. His mistakes were fixable, and that is all you can ask for this early in a quarterback’s career.

No he needs to be capable of doing it. They scored one TD. It was obvious that Miami would let him have those short passes. They felt is was hard to sustain 10+ down drives. It worked and would have been more obvious if Miami wasn't so inept on Offense themselves.

Deep passes are passes of 20+ yards.

That fool cited 2 passes that were deep passes, then said he didn't think Mac Jones even tried one.

No dumbass, deep passes have to travel more than 20 yards. Screens that go 50 yards are not deep passes.

Irons..he had at least two completions that were > 20 yards and another one called back. Those covered more than 20 yards in the air and were not aided by catch and run.

He looked really good. Like I said a couple of 20+ yard completions and just missed on a 30+ that was well defended. He got better as the game went on. We will see how the season unfolds.

95% of his passes were thrown less than 10 yards. Miami let him have those passes all day long knowing they were not going to sustain long drives. It worked.

I guess Miami knew they would recover a fumble inside their own 8 yard line.

My guess is they thought Tua would be a little more productive.

Why are y’all arguing with this clown. He will always try and spin his arguments, no matter how bad the facts stack up against him. Although it is comical to observe his mental gymnastics.

In case you did not know it, Mac Jones set an NFL Record today. All Time. He had the highest completion percentage(min 25 attempts) of any rookie QB making his first start in NFL history.

His 29 for 39 (74.4%) goes into the record books. That's better than ANYBODY.

And that’s with a dumpster of unbaked potatoes at receiver.

No Airbnb , I was saying the strategy that BB is trying is going to fail. Jones did what he was asked to do. It will just not work in the NFL.

I'm sure Bill will not rest well tonight knowing that you have predicted his failure.
