REM and the B52s were literally born in the UGA college of art. Jason Aldean from Macon is a huge UGA fan. Luke Bryant and Cole Swindell both Ga natives are Ga Southern grads. Little Richard was from Macon. Phil Phillips is from the state of Ga. Athens, Macon and Atlanta are music meccas. The list goes on and on. These are just a few of the famous who came to mind

Pipe down, Sooner.
It wasn’t my list.
You are correct that I didn’t fact check every single name.
I know better on CCR; should’ve removed them.

Call my measly error payback for the hundreds of fb players your state filches from Texas.

I think that deciding between what state a person is born and where they were raised are causing problems for posters in this thread of who is a true native of certain states.

I'm just messing with you. When it comes to music you kind of have to group Oklahoma and Texas together. So many of the bands bounced around both states and have members from both states. Hell even Bob Wills got his start at Cain's BallRoom in Tulsa. He is the reason Cain's is considered the home of Western swing. Tommy Allsup(Oklahoma) was the guitarist in Buddy Holly's band that supposedly lost the coin flip to Ritchie Valens to ride on the plane that crashed and killed all of them.

Louisiana's LeRoux is one of my all time favorites. While limited in big hits they had a ton of really good music. Still had 3-4 hits, too.

I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Jeff pollard (lead singer early on). Great guy.

Solid list, gotta add Don Henley.

Went and saw Willie last night, dude is 88 years old and while his voice isn't what it used to be he still sounds like Willie. He can still play guitar like he was 60 years younger.

One thing we should all be able to agree on though is the SEC dominates this contest.
