Have the opportunity to do one of the TailGate Guys deals this year with some college buddies. A little hesitant due to the COVID bullshite. Literally the day I get the text wanting $600 is the day some Al.com reporter is on Finebaum calling for vaccine passports to go to the games. I have a couple of weeks to pull the trigger. What's everyone doing this year?

I wouldn’t give a single dime to that company.... AU ruined tailgating when they started pushing the make $ at every single opportunity route.

Well, I agree, but not sure what the alternatives are. My brother takes an RV down there most games, but he’s pretty far away from the stadium and still has to pay the university for the spot.

600 total for every home game or a single game?

If for every game, I would go for it. Good spot at ground zero is worth it. YOLO!

I went in with some family members to split a white tent this year. First time. Not really "thrilled" but I'll give it a shot for one year.

I'm 58 years old and "Tailgating" is a different definition than when I was a kid, a teenager, and an adult. What's considered tailgating today doesn't appeal to me. The game-day experience is for people that like to park 12 miles from the stadium and bus in 2 hours before the game. No thanks.

Honestly that’s a big reason I haven’t been to a game in a while. The older I’ve gotten the fewer people I know. Our fraternity house burned back around 2000 and they finally razed the thing a few years ago so that’s no longer a place

This is my first year doing it. I've been against it because it has ruined what real tailgating once was. But, I have a senior and a freshman this year at Auburn, got invited into a tent with a few other families and committed.

F COVID.

It kind of “Hobson’s Choice.”

You either pay the tailgate guys, or you are pushed away from the stadium.

It is what it is.

For our group, it’s worth it. We have 25 or so members and have held the cost around $600 for a few years but I imagine this will change soon. We show up to a fully stocked show and leave without blinking. Lucky to have a few locals to help with logistics.

I agree with aubiecat. I am 55, Usually I just park down the street from Toomers and hang around town, bars and few spots my friends rent. I usually end up at the Alumni Tent for a bit just to check it out.
