now that USC and OK are 1 and 2

if they both win out, can any undefeated SEC team take one of their spots in the title game? What about a one loss SEC team?
Looks like the SEC still gets disrepected even though these same voters say we're the "best conference from top to bottom."
Tennessee didn't help our case by losing to pathetic UCLA who got destroyed by a bunch of Mormons

Nobody will unseat USC or OK unless they lose.

The SEC champ will play USC....unless OU is undefeated and the champ has 1 loss!

We get to look forward to a season of listening to the talking heads nut hugging these two teams all season as they blow past inferior talent in route to the media's wet dream NC. A repeat of the 2004 blowout of OU at the hands of USC. We'll all get to hear how USC is the team of the century again.

I'm actually curious to see if the SEC champ could get to 1 in the computer polls and that be enough to get them into the game if they are 3 in the polls
Although I think if LSU goes undefeated they get the nod so they can defend their title

I guarantee you an undefeated SEC champion will play in the title game. The SEC champ would hop OU in the human polls and already be ahead of USC in the computer polls.
After what happenned the last two years, no way does an undefeated SEC team get left out. In this scenario, I feel very confident OU would be the one on the outside looking in.
The more realistic scenario, however, is that OU and USC go undefeated, the SEC Champion has one loss ... then it'll be close. Obviously, the two undefeateds would probably get the nod, but it'll be very, very close.

I don't think a one-loss SEC team would beat out an undefeated OU for #2.
I guarantee an undefeated SEC team would play for the NC, though.

Not sure about who will beat USC, but my Tigers will take care of OK. So you guys need somebody to beat USC and the NCG will be Tigers vs Tigers.

Being the #1 team from the #1 conference does not mean, by defualt, that one is the #1, 2, 3 or even 4th best in the country.

I agree, but who do you think would be #1 in the computer polls out of USC, OU, LSU/UGA/UF ?
I think the SEC team would be 1 with USC 2, especially after KU lost to USF

The majority of the country feels the Big XII has looked like the stronger conference so far (for good reason too). If OU wins out and USC does not lose, I don't think a SEC team could squeeze in. Even if that SEC team was undefeated. The SEC team would need some help from the Big XII team like struggling against a team that had just lost to the conference cellar dweller.

The SEC has 5 teams in the top 10 this week. I know we start beating up on each other this week but if someone runs the SEC they will play for the NC

I know the SEC has a tougher SOS. But it is week 3.
