What is your favorite square bill crank, and why?
Posted by Bleeding purple on 10/4/23 at 9:22 pm
I dont throw cranks often but have collected a wide assortment over the years. Now that my boys are fishing Texas HS series we likely need to pick a few specific cranks to purchase in bulk. ...
re: Anyone see this fight outside the north end zone before the game?

No reasonable self defense includes continually throwing haymakers on a guy down on his hands and knees.
Looks like all 4 should have been arrested.

re: Lightest line you use for bass? Not braid

Would be interesting to see the comparison. At some point air resistance (line diameter) not line weight will be the determining negative factor in casting distance other variables being the same. ...

6lb fluoro is lightest I would go but you can cast that SR-5 on 8 to 10 lb fine.
Due to smaller diameter, increased sensitivity, better abrasion resistance, near invisibility in water, and higher density making it sink, I would go fluorocarbon for a diving bait.
BUT, would pair that with a 6...

Have both, OK
Do both, OK
Excel at both, not so fast
Different personel attributes are needed for each style. Players that can dominate at both offensive approaches are rare at the skill position and more so in the tren...

What county you in?...
So impressed with the Rant assessment of Nuss
Posted by Bleeding purple on 11/14/21 at 12:03 pm
Yall were absolutely right! Max just wasn't the guy. Nuss blew him away, just look at the stats! Who's the new flavor of the week now?
Proud of all the athletes who just keep on grinding. Tune out the noise and keep working Tigers (Max, Nuss, Bech, and all who wear the purple and gold) ...

Entire bottle of visine in each of Bamas water coolers?
Crazy series of 3 or more turnovers given up by bama with LSU touchdowns in next 2 plays?
Massive riot that some how multiple bama players are ejected but no LSU players are ejected?

I don't see his style of coaching much different than Saban. In your face, demanding, doesn't hide his anger, speaks his mind, defense centric teams with an emphasis on speed and violence up front, every player is next man up.
Personally, I think GPs ability to identify and develop talent even i...

Awesome offer JJJ!
As we discussed before, doing this with hog hunts (for more than 10 years now) has been such a blessing. Getting kids, families, and women into hunting and fishing is such a joy in itself. Then the friendships and opportunities to share more time in the outdoors months and eve...
re: Veterinarians...can dogs carry strep?
Posted by Bleeding purple on 8/15/21 at 10:25 am
I'm a family physician and I have seen a case of dog to human transmission of strep and 2 cases of cat to human.
All of those likely were a human to animal transmission that the animal then reinfected the human. All were small child that likes to get in face of the animal.
In general kids ge...
