Post your favorite cocktail recipes here and we can try them and discuss. Can also be a place for general booze talk.

I just came up with a little tiki drink that I’m having in the back yard now:

Highball glass, half ice
2 shots Malibu
Juice from half a lime
Mango juice
Splash of Topo Chico
Little umbrella

It’s not bad. I think I’ll do less Topo Chico for the next one, all my ingredients were warm and it got kind of watered down quick. Think I’ll do 1 shot Malibu and 1 shot white rum for a little extra kick too, the coconut was coming through too much.

Usually just drink neat, but once put red wine in Dr. Pepper- it was weird but not as bad as it sounds

For liquor, mostly. Occasionally I opt for dark rum (honestly better value per $) but I'm pretty big on red wine too.

Gin and tonic with a slice of lime. Summer drink of choice. Sangria not bad second choice (must be red)

Even 1 shot in that recipe is going to be too coconutty. Use Malibu like a syrup, not a liquor. And mango is really sweet, you might want a little more lime in there to cut it.

I’m a Malibu freak, it’s what all my friends get me for my birthday. I’m always stocked with Malibu for the whole year after my birthday. You’re right though, It was a little sweet and a little too juicy. The mango juice I had was all natural and thick like V8. Might just need to really shake it instead of stir.

I’ll just double the lime cause I ain’t cuttin the Malibu my man!

Making Mai Tais tonight.

1 1/2 ounce white rum
1/2 ounce orange curaçao, I used triple sec
1/2 ounce orgeat
1/2 ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed. Save the lime for later.
3/4 ounce dark rum

Shake the white rum, triple sec, lime juice and orgeat together, and pour over ice. Float the dark rum on top. Toss that half lime in there from earlier and you’ve got a Mai Tai.

I’ve seen some recipes that call for pineapple juice and orange juice, but the above is close to the official recipe. That one also calls for simple syrup, but the orgeat and triple sec are already so sweet that I don’t use it.

Came up with this one recently:

Java Jive

1 shot Three Olives Triple Espresso vodka
1 shot Kahlua
2 shots cold brew coffee

Mix in ice-filled cocktail shaker and pour in an old fashioned glass over ice.

Made some Palomas last night and it’s my new favorite drink. Super easy too.

Put a pinch of salt over ice.
Squeeze a quarter wedge of lime over it.
2 oz. tequila.
Top with grapefruit soda, like Squirt. We got fancy and found some Fever Tree pink grapefruit that was really good.

Stir it up and you’ve got a Paloma. Basically a grapefruit margarita, absolutely delicious and refreshing.

Went to make a White Russian tonight and realized to my dismay I was out of vodka.

Dug around the fridge and found half a bottle of Malibu and used a shot of that instead of vodka.

Pretty damn good if you ask me. Gonna call it a White Cuban

those flavored san pellegrino sodas are great for stuff like this, and they got a gang load of flavors (blood orange, pomegrante, etc)
i like a highball filled with ice, pour a couple shots of vodka in it, then pour white claw/truly on top. it has a sting but woooo it'll get you flying.
