Easiest thing is Bama/Auburn to the East

Well absent a POD system that has 3 Permanents from the other PODS (I am using the PODS that the SEC network put out yesterday), then you are correct. Bama and Auburn to the East keeps Bama/Auburn, Auburn/UGA, Florida/UGA and Bama/TENN in tact. For older Auburn fans, it brings back there "Amen Corner", a node to the Masters 11 through 13 where they played TENN, Florida, UGA and Bama, etc.
LSU/Florida, LSU/Bama and LSU/Auburn all go by the waste side, but that is the way it goes if Bama and Auburn go East.

That’s why I think it’ll be the Pods…I don’t think UGA/Florida would vote Yes if it meant moving Bama and Auburn to the East

When did UGA ever reign over the East? They've won a few times but they've never had a reign. They let Mizzou spoil it when both UF and UT were down. Let a down UF team spoil it twice. Let USC spoil things. And now UF is getting back up.

The more I've though my about it; the less it bothers me.
With an expanded playoff, losing the East is really a tactical advantage, so long as you run the table other than Bama. You don't have to play the extra game against top competition.
Additionally, when we lose to UA in the SECCG we get frozen out of them CFP. But if we lost to them in week 1 or 2 of the regular season and then run the table, we still make the CFP.
The only one who really gets hurt by this is Kirby, who uses "SECe Champ" as his way of soothing those upset by his usual bed-shiteing away of our chance at a NC.

Why would Georgia care if the barn went East? They play them every freakin' year anyway.

You say that like Tennessee is not down now.

Divisions won't count anymore - it's pod scheduling.
So, whomever's in your pod & a yearly paired pod makes a "division". So, unless Alabama & Ga. are in the same pod - NO DADDY issues.
(Unless that's a personal interest to you.....then you do you!)

I don't know WTF they were thinking with that pod scenario.
But it all boils down to how they're going to tackle scheduling. There's been a ton of suggestions on here about that - so who knows what's going to be the format?

Probably that 3 year run where we buttfricked all you jokers, and factoring in that we're about to make it 4 out of 5 come November.

It’s an easy restructure
East - Florida, South Carolina, Tenn, Georgia, Auburn, Kentucky, Vandy, Alabama
West - Aggies, Longhorns, Sooners, Missouri, Arkansas, LSU, Mississippi, Miss State

Here we call it the gump bye week. They lose the west and get to rest. It’s happened more than once.

That ain't gonna matter in the least because divisions WON'T determine winners anymore.
